Weddingbee boards

So we are moving out of our rental house at the end of December, which means our rental company has started to show our house. I understand they want to get a renter lined up, I get that. What annoys me is how they have been handling it. Our first showing was suppose to be yesterday at 1, a lady working for the rental company called us on Wednesday asking if it was ok we said yes even with all the holiday craziness we had to do, she said she would call and confirm with the lady and call us back. Well she never did, we called her and asked again on Friday and she said she thought they would be over at 1 on Sunday but needed to call and confirm, and yet she never did. So when Sunday came around we had to assume they were coming and DH stayed at the house and I took the dog out for a ride otherwise she would go crazy. They didn't show up until 2 and they showed up without someone from our rental agency. It was so annoying. The lady from the rental agency called and appologized saying the lady that wanted to viewing never called back to confirm so she assumed they weren't coming, my DH said she was very appologetic but it left a bad taste in my mouth.

Now today they called again wanting to show the house tomorrow (Tuesday) at 2. I didn't get to the phone in time so they left a message so as I'm listening to it I'm thinking WTH? I mean I know not all people work a normal schedule, but I do have to work tomorrow and there would be no one here to take the dog out to keep her from running down the people. So I called them back and tell them sorry but I work and my husband is out of town tomorrow and the guy I spoke with sounded all pissy and was saying "So there is no time tomorrow that works for you?" I said, "No, I'm sorry." And he goes on about how she's only in town tomorrow, I'm just thinking to myself, how is that my problem. I'm willing to accommodate when I can but it didn't work out this time. I really hope someone decides to rent this place soon because I don't think I can handle this until the end of the month.

@secondchances: That is my worry. I know if we were home she wouldn't do anything but bark and growl up a storm but if we aren't here, all bets are off, I think she would bite someone to protect our house and I don't want that on our conscious when we warned them. She also has free roam of the house during the day and I don't want to kennel her for a whole day and freak her out (she's is really a neurotic/anxious dog). I think I will put up a sign today just to cover our back. Thanks!

So I need to vent again...

After the guy called from the rental agency, the first lady contacted my husband (who is out of town) to see if she could bring someone over tonight. After some initial hesitation because of the late notice, I agreed to let them come by. She said 6:30 but she needed to call and confirm and she would call us back, she never called back AGAIN so we assumed that they would still be coming at 6:30. I was running a little late getting home so I asked DH to call since I was stuck in traffic and couldn't look up her number, to ask her to give me five minutes to straighten up, she didn't answer so he left a message. Well traffic let up and I got home at 6:10 and started frantically straightening up. At 6:20 DH calls me and tells me that they aren't coming, she just called him to let him know 10 freaking minutes before they are suppose to be over! HOW IS THIS ACCEPTABLE??? She also tells him that they want to come tomorrow and he told her he is unsure because I am the only one home and I have to work. He is way too nice because I'm going to call her tomorrow and tell her flat out no, not without 24 hours notice per tenant rights in our state. Then I plan to tell her how unprofessional and inconsiderate she has been.
