So I’m having a bit of a problem. My dream dress designer is Lazaro and I recently fell in love with his 3161 dress (http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/lazaro-3161). Well it’s out of my price range so I never thought twice about it…until I found it preowned for $1,950!!
So here’s the problem, I already have a dress. I love my dress but the possibility of wearing my dream Lazaro is causing me some angst. So bee’s what do I do? Do I take the risk of getting the Lazaro and having to sell my dress? Or do I just stick with my dress and try to forget about the Lazaro?
Here’s my dress for reference:

Get your dream dress if you can afford it. Sounds like it was meant to be. Sell your old dress. If it’s never been worn, I’m sure you’ll be able to sell it easily

Oh my gosh, yours is SO similar to the Lazaro!!
If I were you, I’d keep the one you have, it’s beautiful!!

It looks really similar to the dress you have. I would just stick with the one you already bought.

Honestly, in the picture I can’t tell much of a difference between them. So, if money is an issue I think you’ve found something perfect! If money is no issue then I think it’s perfectly up to what you want the most. 🙂

Keep yours, they are so similar and it’s not worth the extra money! I’m newly married and it’s crazy how fast you forget about how perfect your dress was etc.. it quickly becomes how great your day was and how much fun you had :).
Your dress is gorgeous!

I know where you’re coming from! When I first started trying on dresses, Lazaro was my dream designer. When I found the Martina I loved it because it was so similar to the Lazaro 3161. I eventually was able to try on that Lazaro, and honestly I didn’t like the fabric on the skirt at all, it was actually kind of itchy and rough. I just didn’t think it was worth the price tag, and stuck with the Martina. They are so similar!
I entertained the thought of a preowned dress, but it makes me nervous. Most of them probably have had alterations specific to the prior owners body. Plus you just don’t know the exact condition. I’m not sure if it’d be worth the hassle of havingto sell the dress you already have. Personal opinion would be to keep your dress..but if you’re really thinking you won’t be happy with it follow your gut.

Thanks everyone! Y’all are very right, my dress is very similar to the Lazaro and I felt so lucky to find a dress like it at half the cost!
@Jshedrick84: thanks for the info about the Lazaro. The main thing I love about our dress is how soft and flowy the skirt is. When I first put it on I couldn’t stop running my fingers through it lol

I looked up the dress you’re talking about, and after seeing what it looks like, I say keep yours.
Seriously, yours is pretty much IDENTICAL. And you look fabulous in it. 🙂

I like yours better! I don’t think it’s worth the extra money

Ok ladies…after reading everyone’s comments I realized I’m just being silly. I love my dress for its own reasons and because it resembles the Lazaro, so spending more money on a dress I might like in person is crazy! I think it’s just been too long since I tried it on (mine hasn’t come in yet) so it looks like I need to make another appointment at the salon haha.

Glad you decided to stick with your dress. It really is beautiful and so similar. If you haven’t tried on the Lazaro, you never know how well you will like it, just as Jshedrick84 had mentioned. You know exactly what you’re getting with yours…a brand new, never worn, previously unaltered wedding dress that looks amazing on you and was the very vision of what you were looking for. 🙂
