My venue has old banquet chairs that are mauve worn fabric with gold legs. My colors are royal and navy blue, and I guess white as an accent… These definitely don’t go, but I can’t justify spending $4/chair to rent basic white ones that aren’t as comfortable!
I can’t find any pics but curious if I could tie sashes vertically on the chairs to cover up the color of that backs, at least? I don’t really like chair covers, so I would prefer not to go that route, but I can’t find any pictures of banquet chairs using sashes and not covers!
I thought perhaps the half covers would be a good option but I can’t find many, and the ones I have found I don’t like, and are only for rent.
Any ideas for how I can make them look better? I plan to have floor length linens, so might just suck it up. 🙂
Thanks for any help!

Personally, I would just “suck it up” like you said. We also had ugly chairs at our wedding and I didn’t even notice once the room was all decorated. But if you really want to cover them you can buy them so much cheaper then renting them. I bought some white ones for a group I work with since they were always renting them and they saved a ton on them. They were only alittle more than $2 each and they rent them out when they are not using them. They were white and didn’t match or I would have just borrowed them. You could also sell them after if you choose to buy them. Here is the link to the ones they bought.

We are also going to just “suck it up” and leave them. We are tying bows on the backs of the very back row for the ceremony just for the pictures really. Lol. And then just leaving them alone for the reception due to floor length linens. We are barely incorporating the color of the chairs into our decor (our mantle decor and a few flowers).

There was a bee a few months back who got hers off of Ebay. They were brand new and I think she only spent a little over $100 for about 100 of them.
You may want to check there.
You also do a pretty chair sashes or decorations. Tulle and other fabric is pretty cheap to get in bulk. Honestly, no one is really going to be thinking “Gosh! those chairs are gross!” Brides are just more attentive to this sort of thing.

I saw these and thought that they might be helpful to you! Sorry that the second one is a bit hard to see…I just liked how the sash was crossed in the back with the flower in the middle. If you did a fake flower, you could probably do it for pretty cheap!
