I'm a regular poster, but needed to go incognito for this one.

I'm late... And terrified. I am on the pill and usually my period comes like clockwork. This month, I'm three days late. FI and I have had sex maybe three times since my last period. I take my pills like I'm suppsed to and haven't been on antibiotics or anything for the last month.

I'm really worried at this point. I took a test last night, and it was negative. I have all the symptoms I get on my period just no period. We are really not in a good position for me to get pregnant right now. Money's tight, and I'm trying to finish my last semester of grad school.

    Bees, I'm really scared.

Any change in your prescription in the last couple months?  Any extra stress, workout plan, or diet change?  All of those could affect your period... with a negative test already, I'd keep taking your placebo pills/start the new pill pack and then test again in a few days if no sign of AF.

It could just be stress. I've been on the pill for 7 years now, and although USUALLY my period has been like clockwork there have been a few times when it's been a couple days late.

If you're having all the sympotms of your period but no period wait another couple days and then retest.

I started working out and eating better because I'm overweight. My stress is a little higher because of school, but not anything more than it had been before.

Working out a lot and not eating enough can delay or even make you skip a period. Make sure you're getting enough calories and not overdoing it :) It'll be okay-- we're all here for you!

I was 3 WEEKS late once, and wasn't pregnant. I was stressed and not paying attention to my diet. If you got a negative test, it's very unlikely. Give it another week, and if you haven't gotten your period schedule a doctor's appointment and test again.

It's not unusual to miss a period when you're on the pill.  If your period doesn't come, I'd see your doctor to be on the safe side though.

Sometimes, even on BC we can skip a period. On my box is says that if you skip TWO then you might be pregnant. Calm down, stop worrying and it will probably come. If it doesn't, take another test later (though I'm 95% it will be negative too) if you really want. You'll be fine. :)

*HUGS* I know how stressful this is -- I've had a couple scares myself.

Like other Bees said, sometimes your period just...doesn't come. Especially if your body is still adjusting to the Pill, or if you were stressed, etc. How long have you been on it?

I would retest in about 2 days to a week (I know how hard it is to wait a full week, but the HPTs even suggest 5 days!).

If you do fall pregnant and need support on what to do, make sure you find a counselling centre like Planned Parenthood, and not a Crisis Pregnancy Centre. Please feel free to PM me if you need help.

How long have you been on the Pill? If it hasn't been that long, it's possible your body is just adjusting still! Some women never have periods on the Pill, some skip every other period or so... it just depends how it affects your body!

I final started today while I was at work. I've been on the pill for almost four years, and this was by far the scariest thing that's happened. Thanks for all the support! I <3 you guys!

I pretty much skipped a period entirely while on the pill-- I was pretty freaked out but I took a test and it was negative so I started back on my next pack. Next month, period came like clockwork as expected. I've been on the same pill for years so there was no apparent reason. Glad it worked out for you-- that's not a good feeling!

I feel your issue. My DH and I stopped using any sort of BC last May and were in the middle of planning our Sept wedding. I went from May-Sept without any sort of period at all and I was sorta freaking out, but 5 days before the wedding, AF decided to show up. Take care of yourself. You're changes with working out etc are probably throwing a kink in things. Take a deep breath. **hugs!**
