hey there, i hoped this wouldn’t happen. but i feel a teeny weeny bit of dress regret, i don’t completely regret it but it’s because my dress isn’t the typical classic type of dress you’ld see everywhere. It’s in fashion this year and i’m afraid that after a while it’;; be out of date and everyone gets to see the cloth and the material everywhere, so it’ll become “yeah i’ve seen that before”. the thing is that i saw a similar cloth in clutches/ shoes/ mini dresses, so i’m getting the feeling that everyone knows this style and by my wedding it’ll be nothing special.
I’m also worried that in a years time i’ll regret buying something that was up to date and say “why didn’t i go with the classic lace or tulle ball gown??”. i don’t want to say “I shouldn’t have”
especially that it was a miracle to buy that dress, i’ve had my eye on it for more than 5 monthes (i saw it online). I live in Egypt, i called a shop in canada they sent to get it from the states (who sent to get it from spain) and then it came in a luggage from canada to egypt. It basically travelled half the world!
I don’t know what to do, maybe if i didn’t see those clutches and mini dresses with the miniature similar version of the cloth i wouldn’t have thought this way!
My dress is the aire barcelona nuria

Wow, that is such a beautiful dress! I can definitely say I haven’t seen it before. I’m sure it’ll look gorgeous on you. And honestly, I wouldn’t worry about looking back. It loooks amazing and you should wear what you love and feel happy in the day of your wedding regardless of the current and future trends.

All I can say is: WHY are you second-guessing your choice?!!? This dress is absolutely beautiful.

LOVE IT! My wedding gown is full of rosettes, and there was a point in time when I too wondered if it was best to go with something so “trendy”. There is a reason you chose this dress though, you LOVE it in all it’s rosette glory right? Then live in the now – not the past, not the future. Of course it’s always smart to plan for the future but it’s impossible to do with fashion. It’s constantly evolving. Life is short, do what makes YOU happy!

Are you sure its not just NERVES!? I think its really beautiful. STOP LOOKING AT OTHER GOWNS! Your wedding is literally next month, there is no time for purchasing and alterations! Be proud & confident in your gown, theres a reason you purchased it initially!

@CupCakeMeg: Very true.
You’ve gotta stop looking.
I continued looking and bought a secondhand gown on Once Wed after I already had mine; I ended up reselling it on eBay because I missed my original dress once it got to my apartment.
Go with the one you have; it’s gorgeous and your SO is going to love seeing you in it. 🙂

That dress is STUNNING. I was looking at Claire Pettibone’s Chantilly which became my runner-up gown and it was from her Fall 2008 collection. I know that had I never saw the dress I bought I would have gown with Chantilly.
It’s definitely a different dress but your guests will be in awe over you!!!!!!!!!!!
