UK bees – evening invite wording?

The last few evening invitations DH and I received all had a time of 7:00pm, so I think that sounds fine. It also seems like you’re set if things do run over.

As for wording, I am of no help! I believe we tossed the last invitations, so I cannot give those as examples and don’t remember what they said!

@Mrs_Lewis2b:  Just found the last evening reception invitation we received and actually, the words pretty much match yours exactly! So, OP, I’d go with something very similar.

7pm sounds like a good starting time too.

I think we used “Mr and Mrs Smith invite you to join them at an evening reception to celebrate the marriage of their daughter X to Y Jones”

Oh and our ceremony starts at 12.30 and we’re inviting evening guests at 7pm so I think that time is fine 🙂
