Hi ladies, do any of you have any experience with Wallis? I’d like to hear what you think of the clothing’s quality, as I am not familiar with the shop.
Any experiences or opinions, both positive or negative would be much appreciated!
I’m considering this sheath dress:
with this jewelry set:
for pre-wedding events. Is Wallis a store that offers high-quality clothes (like Thomas Pink, Charles Tyrwhitt), or is it more fast-fashion (H&M, Forever 21) quality?

I got a couple of nice tops from them while on holiday in the UK. They have a nice cut, fit and fabric and workmanship. I would put them well above H&M etc… I guess for me they are high quality high street fashion.

Definitely a lot higher quality than H&M or F21 – I buy a lot of work clothes from Wallis and they’re really good, last a long time. I don’t know Tyrwhitt and don’t own any Pink…. I guess I’d put Wallis alongside Designers at Debenhams or Monsoon for quality. They have concessions in BHS often, bit they’re definitely better quality than standard BHS. Is be happy wearing something from there for pre-wedding events.
Their jewelry is pretty, but I never tried any of it as if it’s not gold/silver/etc I go green in minutes.
PS, I voted high quality, but as pp said, this is high quality high street, not high quality designer.

@EmmaLemma: Thanks for your input. It’s appreciated because I don’t know anything about this brand.
@Eat-well-travel-often: I’m unfamiliar with Debenhams, Monsoon, or BHS unfortunately. Tyrwhitt and Pink were introduced by friends in consulting. Are you familiar with FCUK, Banana Republic, J. Crew or Ann Taylor? Would that be a similar quality?
I’m ok with non-designer clothes because this is an unknown brand to my circle, as long as it’s quality. I prefer going off the beaten path instead of having the same DVF lace dress.
Really appreciate the insight!

@bitsybee: ah, sorry, was comparing to UK brands. I don’t think I own anything from any of the ones you listed, but my impression is that they’re similar. Or probably comparable to the nicer stuff at Macys (I’ve got some Jasper Conran from Macys which is well made, not sure whether this is representative!).

Wallis have got lot better with their styles. They used to have a middle aged frumpy type image. their quality is good too, we’ll made clothes that last

@Eat-well-travel-often: No worries – I appreciate the help.
@londonchick: that’s another vote for quality!
UK bees, please keep the insights coming!
