My dress was not from a bridal shop and is nontraditional so I didn’t try on a veil with it. I’m not long cathedral veil bee but I was thinking that I should go try on a veil/ bird cage/ accessories to see how I feel about wearing one.
But where do I start can I just go to wedding dress shop and just try veils or is there any high street shops that do them that I can try on?

Hiya. I would think that you should be able to ring up bridal stops and make an appointment to try on veils. I know my dress shop lets people do that. Also I know that there are shops in London that sell vintage style accessories like birdcage Veils, especially around the carnaby street area so if you are local that might be worth a look. Not sure about high street shops… Maybe berketex bride (if they count as high street).
Hope that is at least a little bit helpful. Good luck with finding your perfect veil!

Thank you I rang a local bridal shop and the lovely lady let me try on the 2 short veilsshe had. I honestly didnt think they would be ok for me to just try on a veil and not the whole dress.
The tulle ‘blusher’ one freaked me a bit but I did quite like the look of the simple bird cage veil. So I think I will jump on a train to london and have a look about for some thing along those lines. Thank you for your help
