Not sure how many UK brides there are on here, but if you are and happen to be in the South West area (although he does travel all over). I strongly advise you DON’T use photographer Joseph Yarrow.
His pics were just ok – we were diappointed as we paid a LOT of money and loved his portfoliop (only about 10 pics per wedding though). He’s journalistic style which is what we wanted, but he failed to capture some of the group shots we had told him were deal breakers and given him in a written list. We got rubbish first dance pics and he managed to get the entire group shot so wrong that you can only see 40 of the 65 people. I will now never have a photographic record of everyone that was at my wedding. There is not 1 single full length shot of my dress (with me in it) unobstructed by something/someone else.
BUT, the main issue is his after care. He delivered the pics 2 months later than he promised and ever since has just point-blank refused to engage with us at all. We were not even complaining, just asking for the colour versions of some of the pics he chose to deliver in black and white. After emailing him 10 times with no response, I finally got quite angry and sent him a stroppy email telling him he shouldn’t be a wedding photographer if he wasn’t willing to offer any sort of aftercare and that he had made me feel negatively about my wedding pictures, which he had no right to do. He replied apologising saying he was going through a hard time and could I remind him what I wanted. I did. that was now 5 weeks ago and he is again ignoring me.
So trust me, please avoid this guy and spead the word! I feel so disappointed by his attitude and the lack of the shots we wanted. He seems far more interested in taking arty shots of wind glasses than actually capturing the ones that people would clearly want to see of their wedding day.
