I'll have a think if I have anything to offer you ladies! :D
Fantastic! I have a bunch of things I'd be happy to pass on to another bride, mostly decorations from our wedding in July. I've put some pictures and brief descriptions below, let me know if you have questions on anything.
I also have some candle holders covered in black and white lace paper, will try and take some photos over the weekend. Oh, and an instructions sign for a DIY photobooth...
White, floaty drapes - we used white curtains made from a sort of netting like material, and attached white ribbons at the top so we could easily hang them.

Artifical white roses on green vines - there are a good few meters of this, there was enough to decorate the gazebo and the hanging baskets as seen in the pic so I'd estimate there's about 10 meters or so. The roses are surprisingly nice, made from fabric rather than plastic.

Green sashes - about 20 sashes of green organza, they look very similar to the chair ties in the pictures below. You can also see a couple of the sashes tied at to the columns of the gazebo. See first pic above. Size is 30cm wide and c240cm long. Can be used for table runners or chair ties as well.
Large wooden letters (c30 cm tall) - during one of my more creative phases I ordered a bunch of MDF letters, painted them white and my hubby attached supports at the back of each to make them stand up. The letters spell All You Need is Love, or Love is All You Need - whichever you prefer! These were great for our photos

Ivyperks - you're welcome to them! They're painted white so you can easily change the colour or add a layer of lacquer or even glitter if you're the blingy type.
PM me and we'll sort out the practical details.
hi, i am very intersted in the curtains and rose vine......its just what i have been looking for

I like the sound of this! I don't know what can swap just yet but I am pretty handy in making bridal sashes and jewellery etc...
Where about in the UK is everyone from? There's not many of us on here as far as I'm aware.
At the moment I don't have any excess stuff, but I'd be happy to help out if anyone needs help making tiaras, headbands or fascinators (even birdcage veils).
@englishrose2013: I'm from Scotland. Where are you from?
Hi All
I've only just started in the wedding process (only booked the church so far!) but would love to be in touch with some UK brides- I've read a couple of uk blogs but nothing grabbed me so I mainly read wedding bee.
Sounds like a great idea to do some swaps or sales, I'm sure I'll get carried away and buy lots of extra not-stricly-necessary items over the coming year
Oh, and I live on the Hampshire/Berkshire border but getting married in my hometown in Sussex
Lucy

Received the vines today, thank you so much......its gonna look so pretty. my gazebo is smaller than the one you had, but i am sure its gonna be great.......
I have a swarovski crystal tiara.....i made it thinking i would wear it, then changed the style of my wedding to vintage shabby chic so will be wearing a flower instead....this tiara sparkles much more than in this picture.....
PM me if interested....
Also, for anyone interested after my wedding....11th August 2012, i have 6 birdcage centrepieces, and a large birdcage which will be at the altar filled with flowers. also 6 flower decorated hearts for the aisle seats. a rose & ivy cake vine and some table number frames....

@anne B: wow you are just a week before us i love your pew ends (hearts) where did you find them?
shame our days are just a week apart else i would probably have relieved you of all of this
it will be too tight i think
but so far it looks like you are going to have a beautiful wedding
lolly
dunelm mill, £1.99 each and i bought the roses and ivy from there too....i just needed 1 bunch of roses, one bunch has 12 roses (4.99) (i made the buttonholes out of the bunch aswell) , and 3-4 strands of the ivy, plus from ebay i bought 100 crystal pins to give all the roses in my wedding a sparkle, such as the buttonholes and the 4 bridesmaids bouquets and the cake vine.
the bridesmaids bouquets are bunches of roses from there, i just added the ivy around the outside and the crystals to the centres, and i think i am going to wrap the handles too.
thanks very much, yes it would be tight, as i am going on honeymoon more or less straight after.....on the Monday night.
@anne B: wow i never even considered dunelm as ours its a bit pricey ususally. but those hearts are perfect thanks
You're very welcome, thats another great thing about WB......we're sometimes able to help each other. :)
heres what they look like in the shop without having decorated it...

Hi girls!
I've got some jewelry I'd love for someone to use! The earrings are genuine Austrian crystal and the bracelet matches it perfectly (not sure if it's crystal, but it sure does sparkle nicely!). I decided not to use them since I'm going for a more vintage-looking set of jewelry. Never been worn other than a few try-ons with my dress. As I'm scraping the barrel for money, I'd ideally like to sell them, but would give them to you for cheaper than purchase! I've paid 30 pounds for the lot..:

Hi there UK brides,
I was thinking it'd be great to start a thread on swapping wedding items. I'm sure most of us have a selection of decorations, jewellry, hair pieces etc that for some reason is no longer needed. Most brides I know change their themes or colours or just get overexcited when it comes to shopping/DIY.
Here we could find new homes for those unwanted goodies and perhaps swap items. It'd be great to be able to recycle things!
