How many per person do you plan to get? About 1.5 - we think. We originally thought we'd have about 175 attending, and we may have more. We have ordered 300 cupcakes.
How do you plan to display them, depending on the number you are ordering? They will be displayed on a cupcake tree from cupcaketree.com. Then they will be served with dinner and extras will be displayed on the sweet table.
How many flavor options will you have? How are you letting guests know what they are? We are having 5 different flavors, and the hall has been instructed to pass out 2 of each kind to each table. I figure this may encourage sharing/switching.
Are you having take home boxes available for leftovers? Yes, supplied by the cupcake bakery.
Will you be serving any other non-cake (cupcakes *are* cake regardless of the serving/presentation size) desserts in addition or not? We are having a sweet table.
Our cupcakes are part of our late night buffet (11pm), which is both a sweet and savory buffet. By this point in the night, we figure there will likely only be about 60 guests left, and there will be LOTS of different types of cake, not just our cupcakes, as well as savories like a cheese buffet, mini paninis, etc. I can't remember everything our caterer has planned except that it sounds AWESOME!
So we've ordered 60 cupcakes, and a mini two tier cake that goes on top. We have three flavours, which haven't been finalized yet but we're having fun doing all the testing ;) Our bakery said this would be enough to feed 90.
They're being displayed on a stand provided by our bakery.
I bought some chinese food take out containers for leftovers, but I'm also thinking about doing up some paper bags from the dollar store with our logo or something on it since the food containers are a bit smaller than I had envisioned.
Sorry I forgot to attach this, these are the picks I made to go in my cupcakes. So cute! They're elevator buttons to match our invites, programs, etc (We met in an elevator).

How many per person do you plan to get?
We are hoping to have 130-150 guests attend and have ordered 150 medium size, filled cupcakes and 25 small, non-filled cupcakes.
How do you plan to display them, depending on the number you are ordering?
I have bought several large white, square, ceramic platters from Homegoods. We will have the small cake we're cutting into on a cake stand in the middle of the table, surrounded by these platters of cupcakes.
How many flavor options will you have? How are you letting guests know what they are?
We have 5 flavors total. The filled cupcakes are carrot cake with cream cheese mousse, hazelnut cake with dulce de leche mousse, chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse and coconut cake with Key Lime mousse. The mini cupcakes are all coconut cake with chocolate mousse icing. I will be keeping a single flavor per platter and will be making some signs to place along with them...I don't know of any of our guests with peanut allergies, but due to the peanut butter and coconut (surprising a lot of people don't like coconut!) flavors, I feel it's necessary.
Are you having take home boxes available for leftovers?
Yes. The cupcakes are part of our large dessert buffet and I've purchased large craft gable boxes for them to fill with all of their goodies, cupcakes included! This, in addition the photo booth will serve as the favors.
Will you be serving any other non-cake (cupcakes *are* cake regardless of the serving/presentation size) desserts in addition or not?
Yes. Our dessert buffet will include the cupcakes, as well as pumpkin spice mini donuts, caramel apples, Buckeye candy, maple sugar leaf candies, M & Ms, chocolate covered Oreos, chocolate covered coffee beans, rock candy sticks, caramel creams and a few other candy items yet to be determined!
