Soooo I am coming to terms with the fact it might rain on my wedding day. I was wondering if anyone had umbrella recommendations. I was thinking black golf umbrellas but I’m not too sure where to get a bulk quanity last minute (I want to wait until wednesday to purchase to avoid spending several hundred dollars on umbrellas). Any thoughts or other suggestions? We have 6 groomsman and 6 bridesmaids plus us so that is at least 14 umbrellas.
Thanks for any input.

Are we talking for an outdoor Ceremony or for transport? Dicks sporting goods should have a lot of umbrellas… Biglots, Walmart, Target.. might be cheaper… If you want to order them ahead of time, I would just google bulk golf umbrellas… also check with companies that do printing… they may have a lot on hand and maybe cheaper?

Have you checked eBay or Amazon? If you can find something in your area on eBay that’s probably the best bet, money-wise. You could always email the seller and ask them to send it priority shipping, special delivery and pay the extra.

I was thinking mainly for use in photography — we don’t have a great indoor place to take the bridal party pictures so I thought maybe if it wasn’t a monsoon type downpour we could still work outside with umbrellas.

I would look someplace you could return them easily if you didnt use them

Its most def. going to rain on my wedding to day too Here in Seattle we have this place called Bella Umbrella and you can rent from them. Do you happen to have a store similar to this near you?

Black might look a little harsh. I think this is an opportunity for you to do something fun and fashion-y like, having an umbrella as an accessory. You can get them in your colors if you want or get them in the style of your wedding. If you have a retro-vintage vibe, they make umbrellas with a potpourri-flower look; if you have a more mod wedding, I’m sure you can get one with a mod pattern. In general,
I love the look of a clear umbrella:
or one with a lace print:
this peacock one is rather dramatic:
or maybe something in a lighter color like tan, silver, light gray, or ivory:
Tons of options!
(i like umbrellas 🙂

Oh wait, I didn’t see the budgetary concerns.
Plain old travel totes are not that expensive. You can also find umbrellas at the dollar store.
But you might want to spring for a special one for you and FI, just for your pics, if they’re in the rain 🙂
