NOOOOOOOOOO I hate that. I also don't see how people talk on their cells while they're taking care of business...
Haha that's sort of weird that they start talking to you when they haven't seen you! During class, I go to the bathroom with my classmate but we usually don't talk during the actual peeing part. I hate people who bring their cellphones into the stall with them. I want to flush the toilet 15 times to out them!
I wouldn't initiate a conversation while I was using the bathroom, but it doesn't bother me if someone else does...lol. I mean..it's a stall...they hear what's going on anyway. The talking can cover up the sound of "other" things....LOL.
I HATE the talking on the phone while you pee thing! I talk from stall to stall with my sisters and my mom, my sister always makes comments as to how loud I pee LOL gross I know but were are close like that
I'll talk with my mom and sister, too. Family members are okay with me. Coworkers, not so much.
I figured I was in the minority. Oh well!
So high school to me, I do pee while on the phone but only if its my family member or good friend. But #2 no way, just me myself and I
I think it's awkward with co-workers, but wouldn't mind it as much if a girlfriend and I were at the mall or out and about and go to the bathroom together and a convo continues...
I talk and pee. But there's really no such thing as privacy in the military so I guess I'm just over it. When you have to let someone watch you pee every three months, peeing becomes...well just another thing. I dunno, I'm not grossed out by it. I'm more grossed out by the scene in Harold and Kumar's movie where they are playing Battleshit.
My DH talks on the phone while doing his business ALL the time if he's talking to his immediate family. In fact he'll tell them "Gotta wipe" and put them on hold. I keep sanitizing wipes by the phone now...
My FMIL talks to me if we're in the same bathroom at a restaurant or something. Freaks me out. It's awkward!
I don't have that problem at work because I'm the only female in my office and I obviously don't share a bathroom with the fellas...but...my husband drives me insane sometimes. I don't know if it's a guy thing, or an Army thing, or what, but the boy has no shame. If I don't lock the door when I go to the bathroom, he'll walk in to try to talk to me. Uh, no way dude...I'm peeing. And just to annoy me, as he's walking by, he'll open the door and walk off. I just want to kick him in the shins. LOL
Coworkers are a no-no, BUT we aren't that close. I do that with my friends if we're like, at the mall or something. But we were all in a sorority so that's not weird for us.
It's even worse when the lady next to you lets loose, though. I'm so glad we have a special toilet area for that here. I like to get in and get out when I realize someone next to me is doing some longer biz.
This makes me uncomfortable as well. I especially hate it when they're just standing at the sink talking to you while you're in the stall. It's like geez, can your story about the crazy weekend you just had wait for just a few minutes?
I HATE when people try to talk to me when I'm peeing! So awkward!
This is one of my biggest pet peeves. I don't care HOW good of friends we are, I want privacy when I pee. Even if it's pretend privacy, b/c we all know you can see through the huge gaps in the stall and totally see my feet.
If it's someone I'm close to, I don't mind, but if it's someone I don't really know, yeah, that's pretty awkward.
People talking on the phone in the bathroom drives me INSANE. I still live in a dorm and there's this one girl who comes into the bathroom to use her cellphone to talk to her mom ALL THE TIME. Um, hello, I'm trying to use this bathroom for the reason it was made, could you make it any more awkward?! And do you think the person on the other end of the line really wants to hear what's going on in the bathroom?!
hahahhaa oh that is so funny! I can't imagine seeing someones shoes and being like "Sarah! so omgosh did I tell you that...." hahahaha
If I am with close friends I will continue to talk and pee if we are the only ones in the restroom...otherwise? nope!
I only talk to someone in the stall next to me if it's a friend I'm out with and we happen to go to the bathroom at the same time.
I'd never strike up a conversation with a co-worker because I saw their shoes!!! :)

I've ALWAYS wondered how other women felt about this.
I really hate it when you run into a coworker in the bathroom, and they continue the conversation from stall-to-stall while you know, you do our business. Sometimes my female coworkers recognize my shoes, so when I enter a stall, in they're in the one next to me already, they'll be like, "Miss Chapstick, is that you!?" UGH! Seriously? I just want to pee and get on with my day. Sometimes people I don't even know (who work on our floor, but for a different company) will talk to me while I'm peeing. I just don't get it.
And sometimes it's No. 2, and well, that's even more awkward.
How how 'bout it ladies. Do you talk and pee, or do you prefer to keep to yourself?
