I'm not sure I understand what you're asking...
Here's what I'm doing: I created my design in Photoshop and I'm buying a pack of resume paper (to look like parchment) and I'm taking the design to the UPS Store and having them print it out on my own paper.
For that, you make the design in your favorite program (I do graphic design and digital art) covert it to a pdf file, and take it in. Tell them what you want, and that's it. They do the rest. :)
If you're wanting them to input all the info like you'd get on the blank invites, I don't think they'd do it. You might want to call the print shop(s) you're thinking about using and asking them.
@Zinzerena: I think that you in a round about way answered my question...
It's really hard for me because I can't seem to articulate the question as I see it in my head... ughh!
I guess I don't really know how to make a template and make a pdf file that says all the things we want on our invitation (wording, font style, info, etc) so that the print shop knows what needs to be printed on the rest of the blank invites. Does that make any sense???
I guess I'm a little computer graphics illiterate. :p
@Mrs.tobe: I'll admit that I went the vistaprint way because I just couldn't get it to print right on my printer at work. It was probably the printer, but I didn't want to chance it.
I DO know you can get templates if for specific printer paper, like postcard paper (the kind that's already perferated) from the company's website. That might be helpful. A bit more expensive than plain paper.
Or, you could use that template and save it. I THINK you can convert files to PDF for free at the adobe site. but you're limited to how many....
wish I were more helpful!!!
@Zinzerena: You are helpful! Thanks for taking thetime to do so!
Hi,
How was your experience?
I purchased 2 packets of the Brides DIY printable invitation kit. I went to the www.gartnerstuidos.com website as instructed but I can't find my way to the templets and instructions.
Do I need to design? Mine already came with designs so that I can just type and print (or that's what I thought I could do).
Help.....
Thanks!

Okay, so I'm probably going to sound absolutely ridiculous, but I need to know who has ordered blank invitation kits. I want to order this set of invites really bad, but wasn't sure how to go about printing the invites after I got them. I would be really nervous to do them myself (not to mention all the ink I'd use-our guest list is LARGE). So I was hoping to take them to a local print shop.
Do you have to have an invite already made up for them to print them for you (like a template for them to go off of? Or can you take them into the print shop blank and they can put together what you want (font style, spacing, etc)?? I've not ever used a print shop before, so I feel kind of stupid here...
Here is the link to the invites...
