@CarolinaCola:  Plus sized and proud! Sure I’d like my ass shelf to be a tiny bit smaller but only a tiny bit. The SO loves my curvy figure. He’s the best thing that’s ever happened to my body image! 🙂

    I’m here!

The last thing I want to do is to post my weight and height in a thread with a pack of people who already weigh 50-80 pounds less than me. I suspect that there are a lot of heavier bees who feel the same as me.

Same here to not needing to weigh in around women 50-80 pounds lighter than me. I get enough side-eye at the doctor’s office and everywhere else, I don’t need more on the internet.

And so tired of hearing “fat” used as an insult – love that this thread isn’t doing that.

@CarolinaCola:  Oh, totally. And please don’t think I am slim/ skinny hating, because that isn’t it at all!

I do get a lit peeved at humblebragging that goes on, ie ‘does this make me look fat’ stuff, or ‘how much do you think I weigh’. Like, does it really matter?

I am one of those big girls. There has never been and will never be anything petite, danity or small about me. Even when I worked out 4-6 hours a day I was never, ever smaller than a size 8. Now, I am….a lot bigger than that. And not at a healthy weight, so I am working on that. But I will never be “skinny” and that is 100% okay with me. I was once built and it was awesome! That is what I want again. And it is currently taking all that is in me to not go eat the last slice of DH’s leftover birthday cake.

I am here! I refuse to participate in threads/talk like that, anywhere. But especially not on a board full of women that I really do not know. I’ll save the tut-tutting & eyerolls for serious things, not my weight.

I’m very tall & fat, but I can sure rock my curves. Deal with it. For the most part I am happy with who I am.

Whenever I see a “how much do you weigh” thread I avoid it like the plague. It is SAD that girls feel the need to compare themselves to each other. The number on the scale is a very small part of how your body is actually built and 150 lbs on one person will look VERY different than 150 lbs on another. I wish these would stop.

I might have been the one poster you saw in that thread over 200lbs, I can’t remember…

    Either way, chiming in lol
