So ladies, I have a cushion cut Halo engagement ring And finally got a diamond wedding band to go with it. A couple weeks ago I decided to have them soldered together leaving a gap- not to be flushed against each other. Because the rings had to be put in a gap, it was harder to solder together and wasnt guaranteed to leave a bigger gap like i wanted. When I got my ring back, I thought I liked the gap but the gap was a lot smaller than I had wished for. The more I look at it, I don’t like my ring being soldered with a gap because the gap is quite small. In my opinion, I think that wedding bands take away from the cushion cut halo rings. I’ve looked at the boards and I’ve looked at cushion cut halos with the wedding band and most of them are so pretty but I just think in my own opinion that the cushion cut halo is a beautiful ring on its own by itself. I think also because my cushion cut halo has a 1.8 mm band, it looks so dainty indelicate on its own. When I add the same 1.8 mm band with it, it just makes the ring seem bulkier, No longer dainty looking :/ With that said, I think I’m going to wear my wedding band on my right finger and my engagement ring on my left. And I also noticed when I soldered both of the rings together, the rings got tighter and my fingers looked like that sausages even though I’m a 4.75 finger! Below is a picture of them soldered together leaving a gap. Sorry for rambling!
