I don't think we're going to serve champagne for toasts - Mr BC isn't so thrilled about champagne, and I like a good red wine more myself, anyways!
We haven't quite decided. Neither of us are big fans of champagne.
We had champage available, but no toasts. It wasn't a huge hit (a serve-yourself kind of deal) so we still have 2 bottles chilling in our fridge.
We did not have a champagne toast. Our guests were asked to get a drink of their choice for the toast. My husband and I do not like the bubbly. No one seemed to mind.
If I could choose only one beverage to drink for the rest of my life (besides water which you kind of need) it would be champagne, hands down, without a doubt. So, champagne was very important to me, I want it to be free flowing and abundant! Fortunately this comes at a MUCH more reasonable price tag here in France than in the US (and it's actual champagne - forgive me for being a purist). Anyway, champagne is included in our package at our venue and they don't charge a corking fee so we will providing extra to make sure we never run out.
Nope, we're doing a beer toast. We're both beer lovers. I will be sneaking in my favorite brew and he will has his favorite as well.
We may have champagne available but probably not for the toasts.
It always seems to me that the champagne is wasted on many people who don't like it. Our venue gives the bride & groom complimentary champagne so we'll have that, but during toasts we're just asking everyone to toast with the beverage they have. :)
Ours will have passed champagne during cocktail hour, then for the toast, and all evening for the bridal party. But we're a champagne and prosecco loving crowd
We're having a champagne toast as far as I know. It comes with our venue package and it's the same price even if we don't do it. I always get in my head that I *love* champagne, but then when it's given to me and I take a sip, I realize I don't actually like it that much. I *want* to like it, but for some reason I just don't. Guess I'll just have to drink more of it so I'm accustomed to the taste by the time W-Day rolls around
We'll probably want champagne for ourselves, but i'm afraid it would get wasted bc not many of my friends and family like it. Everyone will probably toast with whatever drink they have.
I loove champagne/sparkling wine and really want to have a toast for all the guests. however, I know not everyone shares my enthusiasm, plus some guests do not drink. So I'm going back and forth on whether to have a toast with whatever people are drinking, or provide the bubbly (preferably with a strawberry slice in it). Fortunately many of the places we've looked at include it in the package so I suppose it won't be much of a decision...
We actually had champagne for the head table and everyone else toasted with the drinks they already had. Our event coordinator suggested this as a way to keep the cost down. We could get only one bottle of champagne for the head table and it worked out great. No one else even noticed AND we saved money!
mmmmm, I love champagne (or sparkling wine) so we'll hopefully be having it passed at the cocktail hour....For the reception, I'm hoping to actually do a champagne bar, where we will be offering 3-4 different types of champagne cocktails (eg champagne with peach schnapps and peach juice, champagne with cointreau, mimosa, etc) but I'll have to see how the budget plays out...
Our guests will be greeted at the door with champagne and strawberries. For the toast we are going to use sparkling apple cider since some of my family doesn't drink, I wanted everyone to be able to take part in the toasts.
I'm thinking about doing the toast with just whatever you have in your glass. Too much champagne usually get wasted in a toast.
We are not doing a champagne toast - we will just have the toasts with the wines that are on the tables!
We're not doing a champagne toast because in my mind, it's more money that could be better spent on beer. So we'll have a beer toast?
We had champagne available for the toasts but we also provided sparkling apple cider for those guests that preferred not to imbibe as well as to include any underagers.
I think we'll be doing our toasts with wine - we get to bring in our own wine so I'd rather just provide what is easiest for our venue. Plus, we're not huge champagne fans and we'll probably will of had enough in the limo! :)
We will have champagne as a drink choice, but to save money, we will just be doing a toast with whatever drink our guests are holding at the time :)
We're not having toasts, so no champagne is needed. We don't really like the way it tastes anyway.

Will you be having a champagne -- or some other bubbly beverage -- toast as part of our reception?
