Woo hoo! Less than 100 days! We’re doing a surprise wedding on Christmas Day when our parents are together, they don’t even know we’re engaged!

When is your wedding:  Christmas Day

Have you kept a countdown: I have a countdown clock on my desktop!

What are you most excited for: Being married, and funny enough, I’m really excited to change my name

What are you most nervous about: preventing my sneaky mother from finding anything out before the surprise, my parents are staying with us, so we need to make sure they don’t find any of our wedding stuff before the day

Summarize your wedding in 3 words: big huge surprise

Do you think your SO will cry: I hope not and I don’t think so, I horrible with crying people. My mother will probably cry, I’m not looking forward to it

Do you think you’ll cry: No

Where are you going on your honeymoon: Planning on Ireland next summer

What DIY projects have you done: Nothing, it’s a pretty low stress wedding. I am going to make my veil and embroider it.

What do you hope guests say about your wedding: Hopefully they are surprised and happy, it’s just going to be our immediate families.

When is your wedding: November 22.

Have you kept a countdown: No, but I have a general idea. I think of it more in months/weeks.

What are you most excited for: since I already live with my FI, I don’t think much will change. I am just excited to be commited to eachother forever. And to see all of our efforts come together in one event and to share that with our family and friends.

What are you most nervous about: ^^^^ making sure everything actually comes together.

Summarize your wedding in 3 words: natural, classic, elegant

Do you think your SO will cry: no.

Do you think you’ll cry: yes. but I cry at everything. I am going to be a hot mess walking down the isle.

Where are you going on your honeymoon: D.R.

What DIY projects have you done: None yet. I am feeling SO overwhelmed…the next few weeks I am making trips to hobby lobby/michaels everyday!

What do you hope guests say about your wedding: That was very elegant and extremely classy. There is a member of FI’s fam our age who got married a few months back so people are going to compare. I hope ours comes out on the better end!!

When is your wedding: October 11, 2014

Have you kept a countdown: No, but WeddingWire.com has one displayed whenever I log in.

What are you most excited for: Everything! I’m really looking forward to see relatives I haven’t seen in years, and it’ll be the first time both sides of my family and in-law family will be gathered in one place.  Of course, I’m excited to marry the love of my life most of all.

What are you most nervous about: My DJ. I haven’t had a lot of communication with him and I’ve never seen him perform so I’m not sure what to expect. I only hired him based off my mom’s insistence since he’s done a lot of her friend’s daughters’ weddings.

Summarize your wedding in 3 words: Fun, unique, and classic.

Do you think your SO will cry: Unfortunately, no. He’s just not a crier.

Do you think you’ll cry: I am definitely the crier out of the both of us, so yes!

Where are you going on your honeymoon: We haven’t planned one yet because of work schedules, but we’re thinking of somewhere in Europe.

What DIY projects have you done: I stained and decorated a wooden box for the ring bearer to carry our rings, put together a framed fabric covered magnetic board for our seating chart display, and made all of our signs in Publisher.

What do you hope guests say about your wedding: I hope guests will say how much fun they had, the food was great, and how it was full of love.

When is your wedding: September 27, 2014

Have you kept a countdown: No, but I did check weddingwire’s countdown for me fairly often.  Right now I’m at 9 days away, down to single digits!

What are you most excited for: Finally being married!  I’m excited to finally be able to call my FI husband and I’m excited for the honeymoon and not having to plan anymore.  I’m also excited to see all my friends and family in one place and wear my dress!

What are you most nervous about: Bartender.  They have been really slow to respond to all of my emails and have yet to send me my final invoice.  I have called a few times and no answer, so just hoping they show up!  I’m the type that I want to get things sorted out right now so I don’t have to worry about it, where I think they are fine waiting until the week of!  I’m also nervous in general about the weather – and that things will go wrong or people won’t have fun.

Summarize your wedding in 3 words:Fun, laid-back, rustic.

Do you think your SO will cry: No, he’s not a crier.  I have only seen him cry twice in the 4.5 years we have been together.  He might get a little teary eyed but that’s about it.

Do you think you’ll cry: Yes

Where are you going on your honeymoon: St. Lucia for 7 days at Ladera!

What DIY projects have you done: Ummm, way too many.  All of our decorations are DIY.  Our invitations were DIY, as were our STDs.  For decorations we have aisle flower baskets, and a flower curtain for the arbor.  I also made a chalk board ceremony program, made all of the bouquets and boutinieres, corsages (some pre, some live flowers day before), made all the vases for centerpieces, will do all the flowers day before for centerpieces, made all of the table numbers, made a Mr & Mrs Lastname banner for head table, made burlap table runners, made some thank you signs, bar signs, etc.  I think that’s it!  Also took pictures of our animals (girl dog with a flower on collar, boy cat with a bow tie) and will frame and put that somewhere.  Also made all of our escort cards (paper cranes).

What do you hope guests say about your wedding: I honestly hope guests just have a lot of fun and that the day was full of love, and beautiful.
