Just curious as to what other brides are choosing as their song for the ceremony and as their first dance :) Anyone doing anything non-traditional?
Walking down the aisle to "Come and Pick Me Up" by Erin Tobey, back down the aisle together to "All I Want is You" by Barry Louis Polisar. :)
I walked in to "over the rainbow" on cello and our fist dance was "for once in my life"
I think we will end up dancing to Angel by Jack Johnson or Can't Help Falling in Love by Elvis for first dance...for the ceremony, I think I am going to be traditional :P
I'm walking down the aisle to an instrumental version of Don't Stop Believin'...for no reason really, just when else am I going to get a chance to make a grand entrance to Journey? Never. :)
Haven't picked the ceremony songs yet.. I'm thinking maybe Heavenly Day by Patty Griffin for my processional and What I Wouldn't Do by A Fine Frenzy for the recessional? Our "introduction" song for the reception will be Let Go by Frou Frou (that's really our song, but it's too fast and random to use for our first dance.). First dance will be Lullaby by Dixie Chicks.
Barely under 30... but "You and Me" by Dave Matthews Band.
my first dance is Nat King Cole L.O.V.E. I like how it is a little faster than the norm.
I'm talking down to Sea of Love by Cat Powers. And I think our recessional song is going to be First Day of My Life. We're thinking At Last for our first dance but we're not even sure if we're going to have a first dance or not yet.
you girls are awesome. My fiancee says the only thing he wants is to pick the song we walk down the isle to after were married. What could he possible pick? This makes me a little nervous. I love everyone suggestions.
our recessional will be "all you need is love" by the beatles. not sure what to walk down the aisle to yet. our first dance song will be "first day of my life" by bright eyes. :o)
i think we are going to have acoustic guitar playing "here comes the bride" to come down the aisle and our first dance is going to be "ill be" by edwin mccain

I'm processing to an instrumental of "Imagine" by John Lennon. We' haven't nailed down a first dance song yet but our list of options has been narrowed to:
We are going pretty untraditional. I am walking to Taylor Swift "Love Story." Our first dance will be Justin Timberlake w/ Beyonce "Til the End of Time." Can't wait!

I'm walking down the isle to "Next to You" by Mitch and Mickey from the movie A Mighty Wind. Our first dance is "Without You" by Jasper and the Prodigal Sons. I wanted our recessional to be Never Ending Story, but I got vetoed :( boo! No clue what the recessional is going to be for now. Oh and my father daughter dance is "Isn't She Lovely" by Stevie! There's going to be tons of Stevie Wonder at the Hyphensmith wedding!

We just decided the groomsmen and bridesmaids will enter to an instrumental "White Wedding" by Billy Idol, and we will all exit to "You're My Best Friend" by Queen (with lyrics).
I told a friend of mine and she was like "Is your wedding eighties theme now?"
All I had to say to that is dust off your turquoise taffeta prom dress, baby! This ceremony's a party!

I grew up with lots of musicians around and music defines my life. And I have at least two years to decide so it will probably change, considering I want to work The Beatles, Bob Dylan and Eagles in somehow. hahaha.
@Jillbean - My fiance's groomsmen are walking into a string quartet version of Don't Stop Believing!!!! Isn't it so perfect?!?!

We're having a pretty traditional wedding. I've always dreamed of walking down the aisle to the traditional bridal march.
The songs during the ceremony are "The Prayer" and "When I Say I Do".
The recessional song is "Somewhere over the Rainbow" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole.
And our first dance is "Soulmate" by Josh Turner :)

We plan to have Ray LaMontagne's "You Are The Best Thing" playing as we leave the ceremony. We still have a million different ideas for the first dance. FI loves Michael Buble. Like, LOVES/wants to be him when he grows up. Lol. So there's a good chance Michael Buble will be the artist for our first dance.

I picture this just starting to swell as the officiant starts in on the whole, "...power vested in me..." business, then playing louder as the wedding party leaves.
My gals are I are walking in to "God Only Knows" by the Beach Boys. Recessional will be "Best of my Love" the the Emotions. Should be fun! We're entering the Reception to "Two Hearts" by Phil Collins (cos we're big cheese balls) and our first dance will be to "Eight Days a Week" by the Beatles. Super fun!

@FMK - You and Me DMB is going to be our last song of the night and we are doing a circle dance where all our friends and family will be circled around us as we dance to it - I am so excited! We LOVE that song!
Not sure what to walk down to, I was thinking of the song "I will always love you" by Whitney Houston. our first dance will be to our song "Diary" by Alicia Keyes which was the song that played during our first kiss.
