Hey so we decided on an under the sea wedding theme, but I’m confused on what I could do for decor. So ar, I was thinking of doing every other centerpiece asquare bowl with fish and floating candles, and the other tables long vases with coral… Don’t know how it would look yet. But I’m open to any ideas.

Just keep in mind someone has to keep the fish alive, and you have to care for them after the wedding. Personally I prefer the coral centerpieces.

Please reconsider using fish.

You will get some insane anti-fish centerpiece people here, just a warning. I do think it can be super pretty but no one wants to be at the table with the belly up fish. You could do sea shells and coral and not have to worry about anything dying on you.

This is a local venue in South Florida, I LOVE it.

I’d caution you against using live fish…they can die quickly in an environment like that, it’s really not good for the fish, and there is nothing to do with them after.
But there are lots of cute things you could do for under the sea. Blue uplighting would be cool if you’re making it kinda literal, but I know uplighting can be kinda pricey. For seating, you could write everyone’s name and table on individual seashells that you put in sand. The coral is a cool idea, you could also use sand, starfish, shells, etc. For favors you could do bath salts in a little bottle, looks like white sand. And a mermaid style dress, of course!
These pictures are kinda huge but maybe they’ll give you some ideas…and if you go to Sandals wedding site, where you can personalize your own wedding, they have some super cute pis of centerpieces and bouquets that incorporate sea elements.
