So when I tried on my dress they gave me a corest to wear underneath…..from a boob standpoint it was awesome, but from a “sucking in my food baby” standpoint, not so much. So then I thought I would wear spanx, which would suck in the food baby and give me a jlo booty (a girl can dream!), but then I’d have to wear a strapless bra….and my twins are not exactlly small, so I dunno if that’s oging to be enough support…I also am really not interested in tugging up my bra all night long. I ALSO want to wear a pettiicoat, as my dress is a mermaid and I’d like some extra oomph. So as it stands, I will be wearing spanx, a corest, a petticoat, my dress, and the kitchen sink….kinda hot for an August wedding.
So what did you, or are you going to, wear under your dress? Spanx? A corset? An armour suit? GIVE ME IDEAS!
PS, If you have larger twins, I would especially like to hear how you kept them under control…

I didnt think about my twin monsters (34DD) when i got my dress which is very unforgiving I was going to try to find a 32Dirty Delete strapless and hope they stayed up because i can’t really wear a corset so i hope people have some good ideas!

I’m a 34F and UK size 14-16 (US 10-12), so borderline plus size and busty and I wore a PROPER corset (what you put on was probably a bustier as any decent corset will do more for your belly than Spanx ever could!

@SpecialSundae: I’m sure you’re right-it was just the “corset” the shop had….so then the questions is where do I GET the right kind of corset?

I’m not terribly large up top (34C) but I’m doing the Spanx/strapless bra thing. Have you asked if they can sew some kind of cups into your dress to add a little extra support?

Counter-intuitive though it may sound, but seek out goth/rock/alternative clothing shops. The companies who do goth corsets almost always also do them in ivory/white/cream (although as you can see mine was certainly not white).

I wore panties, a mermaid slip (to give extra poof to my dress), and a strapless bra – which worked fine as a 36D-DD

I wore light spanx, which really did nothing more than make me feel like I was making my tummy flat and my dress had an inbuilt bra. I was planning on wearing a strapless bra as well, but they are just so damn uncomfy. I did try on a full corset as well and that did wonders, so maybe sourcing this will help.

I’m planning getting a dress with tank straps so I can wear a “normal” bra with good lift so I can breathe and still keep the girls in check (34H! o.O) with nice matching undies of course.
I kinda (gasp!) care more about being comfortable and don’t want to spend all night trying to keep my boobs in the right place (i.e. above my middle yet safely inside my dress tyvm), adjusting spanx, not breathing in a corset, etc… it would make me grumpy and totally unbearable to be around.

I have a corset back dress that holds in these 36 DD’s with mass precision and sucks in at all the right places. At this point I’m debating whether or not I’ll need a bra. I’m bringing one for my fitting to see what I’ll be wearing underneath.
