Hi ladies. So for my bridal party’s hair and make up I wanted to treat them to one or the other since I didn’t budget for both, but I still wanted them to have some professional fun (am letting them choose which to have). But it was brought up that it would look weird and uneven? Like if a BM had super nice hair but so-so make up or vice versa, it would throw off the whole look? I was planning on the BMs being simple pretty anyway- slightly polished but not too made up or fancy. Hair halfway or all down, soft make up, nothing too heavy. What do you guys think? Is my idea okay or should I go in a different direction?

I think it will be fine as long as the BMs are good at doing their own hair or makeup, (which ever one they don’t chose to have professionally done). also, you can give them the option of paying for the other service themselves.

I don’t think it will look “off”. Chances are your bridesmaid are concerned about what they look and they’ll be careful about their hair and makeup or else pay for themselves to get done whichever beauty care you didn’t cover yourself.
I wouldn’t worry too much! I put a bridesmaid in charge of make-up touchups, just to make sure everyone stayed fresh! You might want to do that.

You’ll be fine, especially since you aren’t going for elaborate updos. Most girls are comfortable doing their own hair or makeup, and those that aren’t will probably plan to have it done professionally anyways.

I think if you encourage them to (professionally) do whichever they’re less adept at, it’ll be fine. Unless of course you have bridesmaids like me, who doesn’t own a comb (in my defense, I have short hair now), and has worn make up a grand total of about 25 times in as many years on earth… but surely you have another BM who can help someone like me with how to apply eyeshadow or whatev if necessary. 🙂
