- Wedding: February 2011
I was married at a resort in February 2011. I used a florist who worked out of her home doing flowers for major resorts in the area. We met and I felt that she really understood the look I wanted for our wedding flowers. I had read in a bridal magazine that it was important to let her know what I didn’t want as well as what I did want. We had also agreed to use floral arrangements from the rehearsal dinner for the reception the next night.
Well, when I got to the rehearsal dinner I was shocked to see that the arrangements were made from flowers that were on my list of flowers I did NOT want due to the fact that I am allergic to them. I threw a little fit and they assured me it would be ok.
However, on my wedding day, EVERY FLOWER and RIBBON WAS EXACTLY WHAT I LISTED ON MY “DOES NOT WANT LIST.”
When I complained afterwards the florist never called me and the resort wedding planner said I approved the florist’s typed notes, so it was my fault.
I have a feeling she was going to do the whole thing in the flowers I was alletgic to and ended up scrapping them after I discovered them at the rehearsal dinner. Did I pay for all of those? I still want to know what happened and an apology. Is that too much to ask? It makes me sad to look at my pictures.
Also, I just found my notes from our meeting and everything I didn’t want was discussed. I just don’t think this was my fault.
