Does anyone else find it challenging to have friends who are building up their hopes for a proposal when it is unlikely to happen any time soon? SO and I recently went on a holiday and a couple of my friends were talking up the holiday, telling me that he might use the holiday to propose. I thought it was unlikely but on the last day of the holidays I was just a little sad that it hadn’t happened.
Please tell me I’m not alone in this!

You are not alone at all…. They think they’re helping, but they really aren’t….

on the other hand, i have a friend who shoot me down everytime i mention it saying “why do want to get married so soon” or “what if he didnt want to propose for 2 years, what would you do”… even if i answer, “weve talkeda bout a timeline and its not going to be that long” she keeps pushing me asking, “well what would you do IF it was going to be 2 years”. She has nothing to base this off of, they dont talk much, certainly not about this, and i think she’s just bitter, but its awful! i’m trying to be excited and shes bringing me down! I’d rather be in your situation!
