We're not having a first dance, but if we were, it would be to "Lover's Waltz" by A.A. Bondy.
I don't have all of the reception dances done, but here's what I have for the ceremony:

I started asking family for their first dance songs so I could slip them in as slow songs to make my reception more personal to my friends in family. Got some great feedback. Now I have to narrow the list down of songs I really want and let my DJ just do the rest. I personally like Rock and my fiance is into Heavy metal. Not very many good feeling songs in his genre. lol I did find a few with Shinedown, Collective Soul, Uncle Kracker, Creed, Knikleback, Savage Garden and Puddle of Mudd. Of Course Bryan Adams, Rod Stewart and Sting have tons of songs that are classic wedding tunes.
I basicly started using itunes and Utube to play the songs my friend gave me and selecting the artists that I liked. Search you favorite Indie group and maybe, you'll find a song or two.

I am looking for several different songs for my ceremony and reception.
I need two songs to be performed by my wedding singers (acoustic guy girl duet), a song for a first dance, mother/son and father/daughter.
I would love some CREATIVE, possibly indie, alternative yet CONTEMPORARY ideas.
I am definitely not a fan of the cliches like Butterfly Kisses, Open Arms, or anything Shania Twain. :)
Of course, no offense to you lovely gals who choose those songs. It's just a matter of personal preference.
LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY IDEAS!!!!!!!!!!!!
