Well ladies I finally got my beauty.. he even surpised me with a second proposal and everything :) Anyway when my mom saw it she said "Oh that's unusual, but it looks like something you would wear" SMH... Of course I responded "Yep and I love it"
Sooooo with that being said.. Show off those 'Unique, Unusual" Rings and the craziest comment you've gotten about them

@LOGAHN1981: wow that is different!! so neat!! is it a white diamond center with a black diamond halo in rose gold?? never seen anything like it.
well you twisted my arm. i have a fancy intense yellow cushion diamond center with trap and baguette sides, not as unique as yours, but i like to think it is different. no crazy comments (to my face at least). a lot of awkward pauses before the typical "oh..nice"

@MASPA - Yes is it.. It's a little bit over 1/2ct center white diamond. It's crazy I was looking online and saw it and was aww this is so me... but didn't expect to get it. I LOVE Your ring, it's def unique.
@Mrs.Estep - Thank you. Yeah the 1st one was on the sofa this one he actually surprise me at my job outside in the parking lot. Got down on one knee on the wet pavement and everything. I almost teared up but didn't esp since we are getting married in a little over month :)
Love unique E-rings! I'm suprised there aren't more. I really like both of yours! Here's mine:
I get a lot of "Oh that's...nice"es. But the one that drives me most crazy is "Oh what a cute ring" which isn't insulting exactly it just feels sort of...condesending. It's very "me" though and I love it so whatever. lol

@rachgirl82:Thank you! I dont' mind at all, I'm a ring porn freak as well (Despite the fact that I wear no jewelry aside from my E-ring. I do make jewelry though so that's my excuse!) It's a natural blue sapphire, it's a suprisingly deep blue for how clear it is.

@NicoleEvelyn: A sapphire!! I don't really wear any other jewelry besides the ering either. I am, however, obsessed with engagement ring pics since I recieved mine. I adore your ring, the design is just so beautiful. It reminds me of another bee's ring. Don't want to threadjack, so I'll message you :)
Gorgeous rings, ladies! I've posted mine just about everywhere, but they're definitely unique, so what the hey...here goes again :) The stones are tourmalines, if anyone's curious.
Beautiful rings! I am a little sad I am not "unique" so can't post :) Wedding Bee has definitely made me open my eyes to all types of e-rings, I am a definite ring porn addict now :D

Still new to this engagement ring thing so love any opportunity to show off my non-traditional precious - I haven't gotten to show anyone in person yet (tomorrow!) but anyone who knows me will think it's "so me", no doubt! She's a 3 carat emerald cut aquamarine in a double halo with pave diamonds and a split-shank band. Super delicate in person but it looks much bigger in photos :
Oh, what the hell, I'll post mine again. 5mm rhodolite garnet in white gold.
@linguo42: I have a vintage RHR and your ring is what inspired me to have a green tourmaline set in it (to replace the original amethyst). Love your set!

@LibbyLoo: Holy cow that's gorgeous! I think mine qualifies as unique, I haven't seen anything else like it. It's vintage style with blue and white diamonds. The strangest comment I got was when I first showed it to one of my friends and her response was "Oh...that's too big and fancy for me, I just want a round solitaire stone." I was like umm ok what you want has what to do with my ring lol.

I'm not sure mine counts as unique, even though it is, as it's platinum and diamond (which is quite common) but it's an 1940s Art Deco setting of an antique cut diamond with baguette shoulders.
All the rings on this page are just plain gorgeous!

I love looking at everyone's unique rings! I know I don't come across many rings in person that aren't the traditional diamond solitaire or three stone rings so it's nice to see that other people have chosen something so personalized to their own style and tastes.
@LibbyLoo: Sorry, I've been posting mine a lot, so I'm sure everyone has seen it by now lol. I took a bunch of pictures of it a couple of days ago though, so it's hard not to post them!
@HChristina: Haha, thanks! I was really into tape manicures for a while.
Since it was a custom design I think I can safely say it's "unique". DH put a lot of work into picking out the diamond and sapphires himself at a wholesale expo and then working with a friend's cousin for the design.
I think my favorite out of the box comment has been from my mom, whenever she has me show the ring off (she loves to do that since it's unique for where we live(d)) is commenting on how she thought it would just overwhelm my hand- but it fits anyway
i think i've posted these a hundred times, but what's another, right? lol
FI and i have light orange (techinically classified as dark yellow) sapphires set in white gold with patterned bands. his has oak leaves and acorns swirling off triangle knots, and mine has triangle knots with a phoenix on either side of the stone.

My ring is a 100 year old antique sapphire and diamond Edwardian ring. It is very unique and delicate looking. Only lovely compliments so far, which is great, though i am sure my Mother would have preferred something more classic!
I absolutely love my ring. Cant wait to get a wedding band!

Here's mine! I think its unique but mainly because its yellow gold with a scalloped band which I don't see often!
I never say no to more ring porn. Your rings are all so beautiful ladies. Here's mine, it's unique because of the swirl and how the band fits right in.
Here's my big purple ring! It's an amethyst with pavé diamonds in white gold, and I love it! I love not having a traditional ring, and I have only gotten compliments on it.
