lol food on a stick is really appealling to me, I think it’s a great idea! I have a friend who makes deep fried raviolis on a stick for bbq’s and stuff, they’re suuper grub! She serves them with a marinara dipping sauce too =)

I think the littel grilled cheese and tomato soup is cute.

We’re having tailgate food gone sophisticated. Pork loin, some chicken wrap and sirloin wrap things… (Basically meat and veggie on stick) I got to sample the sirloin the other day and it was freakin’ amazing!

I have to say, my favourite hors d’oeuvres are always “meat on a stick” type things, or something a can shovel into my mouth all at once…nothing crumbly.

I can eat about 50 little meatballs at once.

I would so eat waffles & fried chicken on a stick…here’s an idea, not that unique, but it should be a hit, mini sliders? My friends just had them at their cocktail hour and it as a hit!  also, we had tiny crab cakes that people loved.

That sounds awesome! Maybe you could carry on the mini theme.

One of our stations for cocktail hour is a “mini bar”. My caterer said they can make almost anything mini. Ours has sliders, mini crab cake sandwiches, Mini lobster rolls, mini hot dogs, ceviche served in mini martini glasses and shoe string french fries in mini paper cones.

i get to plan a lot of hors d’oeuvres receptions so i’ll name a few favorites.  they are not necessarily unique but yummy.

mini lobster beignets, mini raspberry brie bites, chicken & peach quesadillas, stuffed pattypan squash, firecracker shrimp, anything wrapped in bacon (scallops/dates), kobe and crab cake sliders, sweet potato pie dessert shooters, mini lobster rolls, jerk chicken topped with apricot glaze served on a plantain chip…

I really like water chestnuts wrapped in bacon.

Kinda like scallops wrapped in bacon but better…in my opinion at least!
