We're looking for a unique location in the CA Bay Area (or close enough for local guests to drive to). We have a lot of out of town guests, so we'd like to have a location that can accomodate overnight stays or at least have walkable options nearby.

We're looking at the Berkeley City Club due to the beauty of the building for photos and it being a "one-stop-shop" but want to see a couple more places before signing a contract this week....

Outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour while we do pictures, privacy, good food and the ability to bring our own alcohol would be a huge plus! trying to keep the location and catering under 10K.

    any ideas?!?

My fiance and I were trying to find affordable places in the Bay Area.  We found it very tough to find spaces under $8-10K. We ended up looking at A LOT of places.

We are getting married at the Forest House Lodge which is just out side of Sacramento.  It has lodging for 70, and they include a beautiful ceremony site, reception, catering, cake, coordination, tables/chairs/linens, staff, and more for a little more than $10K ($12-14). Their Facebook page has better pictures.

Another option is the Presidio in SF, they have a few sites that are affordable, although you need to get a seperate caterer.  The Golden Gate Club, Log Cabin, and Presidio Social Club, and Film Center are all available to rent.

We looked at a few more places in Sonoma/Napa, Livermore, and the South Bay, but I would say they were all more than $10K for the site and catering.  My sister recently got married in SF and found James Stanfield Catering to be the most affordable.  Hope this helps!  Good luck!

How about Stern Grove in San Francisco? Brazilian Room in Berkeley?

I'm getting married at Murrieta's Well in Livermore, CA. They have a cap of 110 people, but I'll be getting married there for around $8000 :)

We are getting married in November at the Monte Verde Inn in Foresthill.  It was by far the best price.

I would look at the Saratoga Foothill Club.  It's a beautiful small Julia Morgan building.  They offer a really affordable package and there are hotels within walking distance :)

    Good luck!
