You can check out The Foundry in Long Island City, right by the 59th street bridge.  My sister had her wedding there and it came out great.   http://www.thefoundry.info/ .  Best part is you do not have to use their vendors!!

What’s your budget? Are you getting married on a Saturday night? NYC is tough. We loved our venue, the C.V Rich Mansion. It’s tucked outside the city in White Plains, just close enough! Many of our wedding photos are on my blog and you can always email me for more information about the venue or other places in Westchester County.

Have you considered Flushing Town Hall? I read about this wedding that took place there.

We are getting married at the Metropolitan Building in Long Island City (you can Google it).  They provide catering, tables, chairs, linens, plates, staff & bartender (you provide cake, booze, DJ and flowers) and the rate is very reasonable I think.

Basically, you can rent the space only for a flat fee (which I think is over your budget) … or… you can pay per head — and not pay additional for the space — and use all their services.  That is what we’re going to do and I think the cost is actually quite reasonable. (We are having our ceremony and reception there.) If you want to investigate, call them and ask for Eleanor.  She is a character, but really great.
