Monclair Museum-in Montclair, Newark Museum-in Newark, Morristown Museum-in Morristown, Oakside Mansion-in Bloomfield, or Mezzanie-in Newark.
Liberty House and Liberty Science Center.
Those are the ones that come to mind right now
I am getting married at Liberty House. But when we were looking, we stumbled uping two Women's Clubs which seemed really cool.
Laurita Winery. That's where we are having ours. Its very unique and we searched many places and unfortunately everything is expensive. But keeping the guest list small will help!
we are getting married at Perona Farms in Andover, NJ.. Beautiful place and over 50 acres of land!! Been in business for over 90 years! Good luck :)
Try Round Hill House in Washingtonville, NY. It's a bit of a hike, but it's beautiful.
The Tides Estate in North Haledon - beautiful!! Lovely ceremony location, very set apart from the road, and beautiful reception areas.
The Madison Hotel in Morristown - gorgeous conservatory room that you can have the reception and the ceremony in, and they're incredibly nice.
The Inn at Fernbrook Farms in Chesterfield Township - oh my gosh, this place took my breathe away - a beautiful old house, the ceremony location is outside this cottage that looks like something out of Snow White, it's just incredible.
The Highlawn Pavilion in West Orange - overlooks the NYC skyline, near the Eagle Rock Reservation.
Chauncy Conference Center in Princeton, NJ - I know, that sounds weird, but it's this beautiful grounds out back, you can have the ceremony overlooking a little pond with egrets and fountains, and they have a gorgeous outdoor area for the reception.
Ridgewood Women's Club in Ridgewood is quite nice, too.
(culled from recent weddings I did and my own wedding research!)

Hi! I am recently engaged and new to this site.
I am looking to get married in the fall of 2010 and am having trouble finding a reception site. I am looking for something other than the typical banquet hall... something with a little more character and/or charm. Does anyone have any suggestions (that won't brake the bank)? I am open to almost all of NJ. Thank you!
