Can anyone help? Get creative people!! I want to do a new idea by way of rehearsal dinners….initially I was thinking of a NYC dinner cruise, Dave & Busters or a local ice cream parlor. Needless to say, those haven’t worked out due to extreme costs or small area. We will be a party of 50 in Bergen County hoping to spend under $800 for July 4th weekend. What do you have for me?

Picnic in the park? I can’t think of a better 4th of July weekend idea. Plus, since people may be missing their usual 4th of July activities for your wedding, it would be nice to give them something in the spirit of the holiday.

Thanks for that idea! I may just worry about the summer heat. The dinner will actually take place on Friday the 2nd with the wedding on Saturday the 3rd. So guests may or may not be around on the 4th for the festivities.

definitely you should include the 4th i think….bbq comes to mind. is there a local small bbq restaurant you could rent out for the evening (or a room within the restaurant?). then you could see if you could serve a signature cocktail…like a “firecracker” or something cute like that.
