- Wedding: December 2012
I’m getting married in December in Milwaukee, and I have an interesting situation with the pre-wedding timeline.
Background: if we would like to use the pre-ceremony photo location we have our hearts set on (Charles Allis Art Museum), we would need to be done with the photos 2.5 hours before our ceremony. Also, they’re letting us use the venue for free because they told us it would be available later, but something came up. (We hadn’t signed a contract or put down a deposit, and the reason is that another couple needs to move up their wedding due to military orders. We’re not mad.)
So, here’s what we’ve come up with so that we’re making use of the 2.5 hours we have to pay the photographer for. Right after the pictures at the museum, the men (groom, groomsmen, usher, and dads) and the photographer go to a diner or a bar for “Men being manly” pictures. Then, we all meet at the ceremony venue for extended family photos. And we’re done and I’m hidden away by the time guests start arriving (30 mins before the ceremony) at which point the photographer can take candid shots of the guests.
The only problem is that it would cut out our exit photos to start so early in the day.
What do you think?
