I've found a couple of venues that are unique but none that allow you to bring your own booze. Sorry.
Try the Grange Audubon- I toured there Saturday and am booking for July 2013. It is unique, nature-themed, and BYOB!
@amcguire2: Thanks for the idea! Unfortunately though, I had looked into it and it will probably be a little too small for our rough estimate of guests at 220. I'm sad too, because it's gorgeous!
I know a great place! In Granville--Bryn Du Mansion. You self-cater everything!
Also, I am getting married at the zoo...can't bring your own stuff though!

We really liked this venue, but ended up going with something a little closer to our families. This was our first-runner-up, though! It's pretty unique and SUPER affordable. It used to be a church and you actually have to use outside catering and bring your own alcohol (which was a plus for us). The people who run it were also really nice.

Hi all!
So I've been doing a lot of research on wedding venues, and there are a couple of golf courses in the 614 area that I really love, but the price? Not so much. So I decided to turn you the great minds of the hive to help me brainstorm a bit.
We're looking for a unique (alternative?) wedding reception venue. June 1st, 2013 is our wedding, and are really hoping for a tent reception, but if not; then a venue with tons of windows/nature-themes/etc will do.
The catch? We (I) want to bring in our own alcohol. Bar packages cost $18-22 per person JUST for beer and wine, and I could buy 4 bottles of wine with that!
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)
