though not in Rye, there are several really gorgeous places on the Hudson over by Dobbs Ferry and Tarrytown - Tappen Hill, and more - if you're interested in more like this, let me know, I looked at a bunch. Also, check out nymag.com/weddings for more venue ideas - it's the best (the print New York Magazine Weddings edition is my favorite wedding magazine, too)
Definetly check out Tarrytown. I'm getting married at the Tarrytown House, and it definetly has that "Great Gatsby" feel to me.
I am also getting married at the Tarrytown House and would recommend that.
Welcome to WB adelheid!! Wainright & Whitby def. have that Gatsby feeling. Just an FYI though, Whitby doesn't allow you to take picts on the golf course. We LOVED the Rye Town Hilton but it was a little too $$$ for our budget because we have a large guest list. Other places we checked out in Westch/CT:

Did you both get married at Tarrytown in the summer? Would it be possible to do in the winter months? What was their cost pp? We are looking at around 125 -140 people.

Hello Everyone! I am just beginning the process of wedding planning. I really want to make it as simple as possible and am looking for a unique venue that could also handle catering. I am going to be moving from TriBeCa to Rye and thought it could be fun to have the reception in Rye. I know that there are several clubs there that are on the water and beautiful. I like the looks of the Wainwright House too. Any suggestions?? I was thinking winter wedding with a Great Gatsby theme ...
