We are playing "On Eagle's Wings" which traditionally is more of a funeral hymn. But it's my absolute favorite hymn and it's about trust which fits in nicely in a marriage ceremony.
We aren't doing a full mass so that Unity Candle song and an opening hymn we added because my fiance wanted to include his favorite hymn in the ceremony as well.
Please don't let a whole song play! The unity candle seriously takes 10 seconds to light. The last wedding I went to, they played a 5 minute song. They lit the camera and basically just looked at the guests for 4 minutes and 10 seconds. Seriously.
@Miss Tattoo We are doing sand instead of a candle.. I forgot to mention that. So it may take 10 seconds to pour it :)
I figured when we decide our musicians we will maybe try and do the first and last verses to try and shorten it up. I admit it can get annoying when the unity song takes too long!
We are going to have my fiances uncle and aunt sing "the prayer" which was performed by celine dion and andrea bocelli. we are going to light the unity candle and also pray at the altar together to this song. it brings tears to my eyes! such a sweet song.

I was wondering what songs everyone is using for a Unity Candle? We are having a full Mass, but I am having a hard time thinking of a song to use that is short enough.
