@Ms.Sugarsnap:  Argh! Hugs to you, that would have left me freaked me out. Well done for keeping your cool in the accident. Hopefully your insurance company will understand that this was just bad luck, it sounds like the police understand that.

That really sucks and I hope your car is repaired quickly. On the bright side at least you and your FI were not hurt. Better to have something that is replaceable destroyed than something(someone) that is not replaceable. Wishing you many years of being accident free.

Wow that is insane, I’m so sorry your new car is damaged now too, is it totaled? I don’t blame you for being scared to drive, I think I’d walk or bus it for a bit!

Omg! I feel for you! Thats terrible! I was in a car accident last year and it took me awhile to get comfortable on the road again so good for you for getting back out there so soon after the first accident. I know how much accidents can effect people because I work in insurance…hopefully they will be able to figure everything out soon on your car

That sucks!!!

I’m so glad that you were able to keep your cool and not swerve!  Thats a mistake that a LOT of people make and end up a lot worse than what they wouldve been otherwise!

I’m glad youre both okay!  This would definitely shake me up.

@Ms.Sugarsnap:  I know how you feel..I hate driving cause people are terrible drivers..espcially in the winter time. But for me to take the bus it would take FOREVER so I just cant do it.

If you were deemed not at fault and had witnesses to prove it then your rates shouldnt go up. I’m in Canada (Ontario) so it could quite possible be different in the US..if I were you I would google how rates are determined in your State or call you insurance company to verify

The same thing happened to me last summer… I was in two separate accidents 2 weeks apart and neither were my fault. I was honestly so freaked out I didn’t drive for 3 months. That really sucks you are forced to drive so much everyday… that must be so tough! It does get easier with time though, now I don’t think twice about driving places.

You should be fine for your insurance rates… mine didn’t change since neither were my fault.

Really glad neither of you were hurt!
