we eloped so we didnt register but we got a bunch of bananas & a blessing on our wedding day and i thought it was super nice of the person (one of the local PNG'ians)
I think all the things we registered for were pretty basic. I'll be intersted to see all the responses for this one!
We're not registering, bc we're already secretly married, yada yada yada. But I know we will probably be getting a lot of Finnish glassware. Husbands family is pure Finnish, so it's a big deal to them. We would really like a large griddle, though, for our big family breakfasts on the weekend.
we haven't registered yet but FI wants to register for a kayak. I'm totally down with it I just have no idea where we'd keep it.
Hmm... our most unusual registry item is probably the sleeping bags we put on there so we can go camping! Not too weird, but they definitely don't seem like typical registry items.
A stuffed Batman cuddle pillow. When we registered at Target, my fiance got a little stir crazy and thought it was funny at the time. He said that most registry stuff is for the woman, anyway, and I tried to argue but failed. So I let him have his Batman pillow. Oddly, we didn't get the Batman pillow- can you believe it? :)
We registered for an electronic tire guage and are REALLY hoping someone gets it. More so than the China or any of that other stuff.
We registered for a tent and I got it at one of my shower's. A few of my family members went in together to get it. We also registered for a nice pair of binoculars. I hope we get those too! I say if you want it, add it.
We didn't register for anything too out of the ordinary, but we did include a tent and some camping gear. We were psyched that we got it! Oh, and my husband insisted on registering for some cat toys and treats for our kitties. We did not get those.
We registered for a bunch of board games. I'm not really sure how uncommon that is, but I know that we'll put them to a lot more use than china!
Many, many of our gifts/giftcards came from REI. I think our friends and family know how much we love the outdoors!

What's the most unusual gift you registered for?
We haven't registered for anything out of the ordinary wedding registry stuff. But I keep thinking about adding a tent or kayak to our Wishpot.com registry.
