Hotels are awesome. No dishes. No laundry. No vacuuming or changing sheets. Plus, hotel sex is awesome.

@Kacey23:  Hmmmm. I guess I can see the fun in staying at a cool hotel occasionally. Are you sure there’s nothing creepy going on?? Lol

FI and I did once, on our one year anniversary, but only because it was a special occasion and we had a roommate at the time with an infant and we wanted some “us” time. I guess I can’t say it’s super far-out there weird, but I don’t know anyone who makes a habit of doing something like that. I probably wouldn’t want to go either, unless it was the type of hotel with two completely seperate bedrooms.

I do think it’s kind of weird to go often. I think on occasion is kind of fun. It’s like pampering and a mini vacation. Often? I don’t see the point if they have somewhere to be together at home.

@Kacey23:  we took a three day trip to lake Louise, 45 minutes from where we live and stayed in the fairmont. It was nice to spend more time around the lake, do more activities, go to the spa and pool. I wouldn’t stay to a hotel closer than that. We have gone camping with another couple and we took a trip to Edmonton with another couple.

I don’t think it’s weird at all. My boyfriend and I have been to hotels several times in our relationship. We both think it’s just fun to get away from our everyday life and spend time together alone doing whatever we would like.

@Kacey23:  Is the plan to share a room or just be in the same hotel?

Mr TTR and I travel a lot, and we LOVE our time in Hotels.  Lol, we always have a getaway of some sort on the books… be it an overnight, weekend, or vacation.

We stay over in Hotels often… we just plan a getaway and go… say Dinner in the next Town / City… or after a Concert / Play… honestly we’ve been known to stay over in a Hotel less than 30 minutes from our home… just for the shear pleasure of an “escape” (all that pampering that was mentioned)

Unless tho we have some event specifically planned with another couple… Going to a Concert, Attending a Show / Play… or a Weekend at a Resort… it is a bit weird to invite someone along to a “close by” Destination (like the Hotel down the street)

Is it possible that they might be swingers, and are looking for playmates ??
