Mine was kind of falling apart at this point (so many hugs and people pulling on my hair!), but it was a low updo that fit your requirements I think.  Sorry the picture isn’t great, but you can see it well enough I think.  πŸ™‚

Here is the hairstyle I chose, and to me its not too big, not to flat. When I had it done on me (2nd & 3rd pic) I asked the hair stylist to make it a little less big, so I think its pretty customizable.

Here was my wedding hair, I had similar concerns to you but your hairstylist should be able to work with you about the amount of “poofiness.” This was at my hair trial before I had my headband in, but I did wear a sparkly headband at my wedding and it looked fine.
