Bump? At least read the bolded and after :) Could really use some creative minds!
Or carve love hearts/messages into pumpkins..... play a game of conkers. Make a heart out of leaves. Lie down in the leaves. Throw the leaves around and have fun..... anything.
@VickyAurea: I love the pumpkins idea you could carve your wedding date into them!!
I think that the place you described sounds beautiful so you wont need a ton of props, but some little touches would be nice! What is something you both enjoy. Do you both have the same fav football or baseball team? What is something you guys often do together, bring your personalities in that way. You dont have to do all of the gazing into each others eyes pics lol
THANKS EVERYONE!
I went with the pumpkin idea with our dates. I'm bringing just one or two more things so we aren't just standing there doing the "deer-in-the-headlights" looks. BUt other than that, I think you all were right. I looked at a lot of autumn engagement pictures that had no props, and sometimes simplicity wins. Thank you!!!
@amidette: I personally think props are a bit cheesy, and the trend is on the way out. That being said, I will do whatever the client wants.
Backgrounds: Trees, Piles of Leaves, Autumn Sunsets, Pumpkins, Umbrellas, Apple Orchards, Parks, Rustic Barn...
Outfits: Coats and Boots and Hats/Beanies, Sweaters and Jeans and Belts, Dresses with Tights, Layers of Clothes, Scarves.
We just did our E-Pics and we didnt end up using any props like I thought we would wnat, but we let the natural scenery/background do its thing! =)
Hey everyone! We had our e-session. And just used the pumpkin with our date. I'm already excited about how the pictures turned out. It was a bit awkward for some of it, but, honestly, if it wasn't for our great location for shooting, we might not have gotten as many shots as we did!
Thanks :)

Hello everyone!
My FI and I are having our engagement session on November 6 in a favorite spot outdoorsy spot of ours. Theirs a covered bridge, a river, a hiking trail with a whole bunch of trees, a waterfall, and some ruins. We are so excited because we are hoping the leaves will still be beautiful colors (and not ugly and dead--which I'm secretly worrying about), but it's the only date we could get during autumn.
I love autumn, and FI agrees it would be a great idea for engagement pictures.
Anyways, FI is not exactly the type of person that likes to get his picture taken (like most males, I presume) and I wanted something kind of fun (like some of those engagement sessions out there with props), but I don't want to overdo it. I just want to show a little bit more of our personality than just standing there smiling or just sitting their gazing at eachother-- because personally, we aren't the type of people to really like doing that in front of people, nor would we really want kissy pictures to show people.
I was hoping anyone had some ideas for an autumn-themed engagement session?
I was thinking about bringing some camping chairs and a blanket, even some "hot cocoa" in a thermos, but just wasn't sure and wanted to see what reactions I might get or any possible suggestions.
Thanks!
