They're so sweet! I couldn't love them more! Can't wait to see what else you make!
They're so sweet! I couldn't love them more! Can't wait to see what else you make!
I love them !!! Good Job !! May I ask you what you wrote as their roles ? I was wondering how to do that
@maudemaisha: They say:
your role
the biggest job that i can ask you to do is just to provide me with the awesomeness of your presence on our big day! i will have lots of diy projects going on so any help is appreciated, but far from necessary!
as far as parties and showers go, don’t go crazy! i know that things are financially challenging for everyone right now, and i can’t have you all stressing out over a silly party! remember that we don’t need fussy decorations and elaborate food to have a good time!
Aww I love it! Wish i had these ideas when i was asking my BM's!
@impatientlypatient: Thank you !! I'll keep that in my inspiration folder, if its ok with you ?
@maudemaisha: absolutely fine with me! I got the original idea for the boxes from Rinse.Repeat's blog though! I made a lot of changes, but the bracket design on the box is hers!
So cute and very creative!! What did you put under 'My Girls'... I am stuck on how to do this!!!
@Ashblynn02: BTW I finally changed my username from an obvious "waiting" name to a "planning" name! For the my girls section I tried to keep it really funny and lighthearted with a little bit of sweetness.
This is what it said:
Maid of Honor:
adrienne: affectionately known as “a-run”. creative director of everything she touches. keeper of all the embarrassing stories. lifelong giggling partner (especially at really inappropriate moments). mother of two of the cutest nephews in the world. possessor of the world strangest (and most hilarious) laugh. trust me: she’s not even looking at you.
Bridesbeyotch:
lanie: partner in crime...for reals. world’s best homie, 8 years and running (inseparable since the day we met). watch out, she will cut you. if it’s not a cadillac, she’s walking. guitar hero expert. the best friend a girl could ever ask for. has the innate ability to always make everything seem alright. fellow procrastinator extraordinaire.
Bridesmaid:
devan: sounds funny when she drinks (wisconsinite). awesome partner on game night. stuck with me through good and bad (and plain old crazy) for three years. arguably the catalyst to this whole event (i caught her bouquet -and only had to mow down three other chicks). has been present at every milestone since i met her (jobs, graduation, when i met tim, when tim proposed, every single major sporting event).
I love this idea. It's such a cute and sweet idea.
Can you tell me where you got the boxes and the diensions of the boxes?
@Otaqueen: Not sure what the dimensions are, but I picked them up in either Michael's or Joann.

@cant.wait.to.be.mrs.d: No problem! Let me know if you need any more help with them!

I made some changes from rinse.repeat's original design (changes can be found here), but my own boxes are finally done! I added the outside design and also waterproofed each box since the last post.
I thought that the outside of the boxes looked a bit boring so I added a cute vintage key and then decided it needed to look like it was dangling. I wanted each box to be unique so I modified the key design and key placement on each box.
Here's a closer look. A freehanded key, some hot glue and yarn, and voila, an adorable jewelry box!
Finally, here is a look inside the finished product. I included some info on what role they will play, some wedding details, some info about each one (basically funny stories and important moments of our friendships), and a card explaining how I want them to pick their own dresses and some guidelines for dress shopping. I also put in a few pictures of dresses that I love for them so they have a visual aid, and a picture borrowed from a bride who did her bm dresses like I want them. I think the vintage hankie is too cute!
The girls have already been asked (and accepted!) so I plan on presenting these during or right after a toast to them at my engagement party. It will be the first time I will have everyone in the same room and I can't wait to introduce them!
