Weddingbee boards

I had written this post (http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/poor-mr-lr-do-you-think-i-reacted-appropriately) about my darling Mr. LR a couple days ago (just read the first thing I wrote), and I have AMAZING updates! 

UPDATE!!  I snooped again because he was super happy today when he got home from work, and when I asked if everything had been resolved with the jeweler he told me that he "didn't have time" today to deal with it. Now, if you knew Mr. LR in real life, you'd know that was a lie.  He's not the type to put something off like that.

Well, I found out from my snooping that they were able to get the diamond!! He's going to the jeweler Saturday to make final decisions (we hope!).  The saleslady has been working very hard on my ring because she knew they messed up.  Apparently there was a miscommunication with the diamond distributor or something.  I'm just glad it was resolved!!

Mr. LR also slipped up and said he had put money on my ring.  We were joking around about a friend of mine who is going NUTS waiting, and she's putting a lot of pressure on her boyfriend.  He was like (jokingly by the way) "I'd send your ring back and get a refund if you acted like that!  He's never gonna do it now".  I responded "oh please, you haven't spent any money on my ring yet so there's nothing to send back!".  He said "bullsh!t I haven't!".  He then realized his error when I started smiling and bouncing, but he was very excited/happy when I was like "we're going to get married one day!  it's happening yay!"

So that's my update!  I am SO excited, and I don't even care what the diamond looks like.  It could be a spec of dust or a ring pop for all I care because I am ecstatic Mr. LR loves me so much and that he cares so much about creating the most perfect ring for me, without expecting anything in return except for my happiness.  I am a very lucky lady!  Plus, I'm getting a Christmas present too!  :)

On a side note, I will no longer be snooping because I want everything to be a surprise now.  I am glad I know it won't be coming for Christmas, so there is no added pressure, but I do know it's coming soon!  :)

Wooohoooo! You ARE a lucky, lucky lady, and I definitely see diamonds of the non-ring-pop version in your near future :) (And thank goodness the jeweler is making up for past mistakes-- that was ridiculous before!)

@Ambergris: Thank you!!  I am very excited and I am definitely a happy lucky girl!  Yeah, I have no idea how that happened, but the jeweler is now working like crazy to get my ring done in record time.  She even shipped in two similar diamonds because she didn't think she'd get the other one.  I'm sure it wasn't ALL her fault, as they work with a diamond distributor in NYC, but I won't complain if she's working hard on my ring!  :)

@foreverperpetua: Ahh I hope you're right!!  Thanks!!  haha well the only way to describe him about stuff like this is OCD.  He researches things he's going to buy until he's blue in the face.  He spent two weeks researching what kind of cutting board he wanted for his birthday!  So, I knew that he had spent a ton of time researching, and I knew that if he was going to spend money on something like an engagement ring, he was NOT going to be blase about it :)
