@kansas_nurse:  I’m sorry. Those girls are such bitches. Try not to let them get to you….when you’re nice to them it’ll get to them so much more then if youre rude back. Be the bigger persona and good luck in your job search.

@kansas_nurse:  That really sucks.  I have been there too.  I finally had to quit.  A pep talk is not going to do shit for you.  For a company to not have a plan of action for that kind of behaviour is not favorable to anyone.  I would look for another job.  Find an exit, you deserve to be treated better, by people who respect you and your abilities.

Good luck!!  I know it is not easy, but you will be far better off some place else!!

I’m sorry that happened to you. I never knew stuff like that existed until I dealt with it. I was at a job for 9 months where I got bullied. It was at a hospital too (psychiatric one), but I’m not a nurse. I’m a clinician and it was done by my peers. It was terrible. It ranged from exclusion to rude comments to near physical altercations and to being cussed out. It was my first real job, and it was stressful and it hurt. Thankfully another job fell in my lap and I found that those coworkers were so very welcoming. In the first few months at the new job I was walking on eggshells and expecting to get in trouble every few minutes. It took me a bit to get over it.

I hope that your new job will be as welcoming and supportive.
