The original thread to this post is here, if you want the background details: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/please-help-me-end-the-late-night-cry-fests-over-my-dress-regrets/page/3#ixzz2nAjGS43u.
I had some serious dress regrets and spent months agonizing over what to do – should I get a new dress, alter it, or keep it as is…. After many nights spent crying and help from the Weddingbee community, I finally made my decision — I decided to keep the dress as is and stop sweating the details. I had found a seamstress 2 weeks before the wedding that would be willing and able to thin the straps or remove them (as the bridal shop did not want to do this). However, in the end, I thought it best to keep the integrate of the dress in tact – heck, I must have fallen in love with it for a reason.
The link above has some photos from the bridal store – and below are some photos from the wedding. In the end, I’m very happy with my choice – especially since my wonderful groom took every opportunity to dip and spin me… those straps were a blessing!
Oh and for those southern Indiana brides, I want to highlight some of our vendors as good vendors can be hard to find in our area. The wedding/reception venue was the Old Vanderburgh Court House in Evansville, IN (reception room in second to last photo), our caterer was Biaggi’s (Emily is super helpful and her team did a great job), our photographers were from Stewartography and our super exclusive florists were my sweet sister and her Navy-man hubby

Stunning! You look like a princess from a vintage Italian movie!
Also the venue is amazing. I had no idea such places existed in Indiana or the Midwest.
