That is AMAZING. You should be soooo proud of him for seeking counseling. A lot of people (not to generalize just men) feel like it means they're weak or can't take care of themselves. Congratulations!

Some of you may have read my previous post-- basically about how my previously-engaged SO has been scared to get engaged again, and as of Dec 30th had taken no steps toward the June 2012 wedding that we originally agreed upon.
So how does a scared SO become un-scared? ...apparently through secret counseling!!!
Turns out that SO has been going to counseling for the past few months (?!) to work on getting past his scared feelings. He just didn't tell me about this until last weekend (!). I'm not mad at him for not telling me... but, man, I would have felt so much better knowing that he has been proactively doing something these last weeks! (Here I just thought he was being oblivious and/or lazy.)
We decided to take a little break this past week, so that I could completely get over being upset with him and he could rethink our timeline. Even though our "break" ended up being only a couple days, it was enough to allow us to start fresh with the marriage discussion this weekend.
Our new plan is to get married in September/October 2012 :) :) :) I feel like this is FINALLY how it should be-- we are both excited, and this is actually going to happen!
Personally, I am hoping for a leap day proposal... how fun would that be?
