So, I made this post a couple days ago saying that the lead in a show I’m in wears a dress that I thought would be fantastic for the bridesmaids could I get someone to replicate it. I posted some pictures of it, but they were all during rehearsal with either stage lighting or a spotlight. It didn’t look like it would naturally or even in person. So, I managed to catch her during intermission and get a picture in fluorescent lighting.
In the other pictures, with the lighting and the fact that she wasn’t exactly poised for a photo, it was deemed unflattering. I said I’d take a better picture of it and see if the change would make a difference. Everyone in the cast loves it and I thought it was incredible, so I was surprised that the vast majority on here didn’t like it at all. I’m hoping it was just the original pictures.
What do you think? Does it still look bad or does the new picture help show off how beautiful the dress is? Is it at least not AS bad as the other thread made it seem?

Still not keen on it sorry! And I think it looked better in the stage lighting.

@HonoraryNerd: She has a killer body and this dress does her no good! So I vote no, sorry

Still not a fan. Maybe it’s great for the show, but IMO not so much for a wedding. It doesn’t do much for her body. You can find better, girl!

@HonoraryNerd: I don’t think so, I’m sorry but it’s just really not flattering.

Mixed…I do not think it is terrible. It is one of those things that I go not my taste but I do not think it is aweful!

@HonoraryNerd: I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the dress other than the fact that it doesn’t fit her. Either it wasn’t tailored to fit her or it was poorly tailored. It’s far too tight on her hips and she’s a pear shaped girl. Assuming the dresses actually fit your girls I think they would be fine.

@HonoraryNerd: In my honest opinion, this is not a flattering dress. It is a very difficult color/ texture/ pattern and cut to pull off. That girl has a great body and I am sure she looked great in the show, but on multiple girls for a wedding, I do not think this would work.

@HonoraryNerd: I actually dislike it more here than in the other photos. If all your BMs have killer bods, the cut would be fine but the sheen and colour is just off. That cut would look great in a chiffon-y kind of material and with some kind of sparkly belt… mmm 🙂
@jadlnc: +1 Thats what I thought when I first saw it and its evident here – its just far too tight around the hips/bum. It needs more space down there for her killer butt! hahaha

@FutureMrsHallam: I wish I had a rump like that. *sigh*
-says the white girl with wide hips and a butt flatter than a pancake

I also don’t like it. She’s too short to wear such a long dress. Of it’s making her look really short. It just seems like a million other dresses would look cuter.

@jadlnc: Ugh me too!
– says the girl with a wide load rated “wobble bum” as we call it (need some sqauts me thinks… hah!)

I’m sorry, I’m not a fan.

I like the dress, but it’s so cool that I would want to be the only one wearing it. Have you thought about mix matched dresses if your plan is for them to rock something this interesting?
