@MUAbride2be:  Honestly I didn’t feel beautiful in any dresses BUT AA. I cried to my mom about how I wouldn’t look like a bride. The closest AA to me was an hour and fourty five minutes away, but definitely worth it. :Hugs:

I LOVE my AA dress!  I also tried ones on DB, found a couple I liked and would have considered, but nothing that was the one.  I actually fell in love with a more high end designer dress, but hadn’t ordered yet when AA came out with their 2013 collection and low and behold there was a nearly identical dress to my dream dress for HALF THE PRICE!  I literally couldn’t tell the difference between the 2 dresses.  It’s worth the trip!  I have a hard time finding clothes that fit and was worried as well and my best piece of advice is be willing to try on different shapes, sometimes what you think will look horrible will actually be flattering.  Good luck I know you’ll find it!  :Hugs:

I second Alfred Angelo!  I remember feeling so pretty in their dresses. I think I’m going to go with a Maggie, however. Keep looking!  Don’t settle!

Keep on looking, I got my gown from Davids, and I’m a plus size, street size 14, bought a size 16 wedding gown, a one shoulder tulle ball gown from the Oleg Cassini line. Good luck, you will find one.

I wasnt impressed by DB either. Like you said the dresses were boring and when you got into plus size, matronly. I think you will really like AA, they definitley have plenty going on in the lower parts of the dress but still keep a good balance over all. Don’t get discouraged, you will find the one and you will be a beautiful bride. I f you do go to AA dont forget to post pics!

FWIW I think that last dress is super cute on you! But as a PP said, I’ve heard lots of good things about Alfred Angelo too.
