About 2 months ago I wrote about the mister coming home on leave from Afghanistan well I got a call at 3:48am today - it went like this
-Good Morning Sunshine guess where I'm at?
-Hi, baby where are you?
-I'm in the US. I'm in Maine.
How friggin awesome is that!!!! He's on his way to Seattle to out process and then he comes home!!!

YAHOOOOOO!!! HOW EXCITING! I remember your original post and am so thrilled that time is finally here!!!
I was so excited it took me about 45 min to go back to sleep. When I told my daughter this morning she started dancing and asked if he was going to be with us for thanksgiving...but to her surprise we are going to wait an extra week (he'll be with his family for thanksgiving) so he'll be here for her 1st piano recital.
To hear him so happy to be home really makes me appreciate all we have here in the US. The one thing that stuck out was he said the air smells so clean.
Probably the best call you'll ever receive in your life. So happy for you guys.

My brother gets home (for good) on Sunday from his second tour in Iraq - I'm so excited!

@Jaydee, And the bed will feel SO good. Dh raved about HOT SHOWERS and soft beds for months.
We should all be thankful we get these precious amenities on a daily basis!!!
Hmmm maybe make him a cake! I bet he'd love cake. THey don't get that over there!
@ejs - he was stationed at a good base the last part of his tour, he had cake, pie and ice cream sundae bars. My mister has the biggest sweet tooth I've ever come across. Let's just say he would eat cake, pie and ice cream for dessert. LOL
He's actually gets excited about the bed and pillows as well as the hot showers. And oh yes, the History channel. So I'm going to spend the money on good sheets and super comfy pillows.
