A week or so ago I posted about completely being anxious to tell my future mother in law about our reception being childfree...

...and I was worrying over nothing. She COMPLETELY understood and was so thankful that I had arranged a sitter for the kids.

What has been the most pleasant surprise of wedding planning?

How did you word it/approach her with it?  I've been worrying about this for a solid week as well, though have no idea how to come out with it!

Glad it worked out well for you though!  Laughing

Our most pleasant surprise was that both of our parents were GREAT with us having an outdoor interfaith wedding.

@said8me: Honestly her main concern was that my fiance's nephews would not be there for the ceremony, and she was totally fine about the reception.  It also helped that we're paying for a babysitter to watch them in our hotel room while they are at the reception.

    I hope that helps!

I'm glad it worked out for you! :)  I know this was a sticking point for my MIL as well.  Although, in her case, it didn't effect any family members, so I don't know why she cared so much.
