Bees I have some wonderful news. Social services finally stepped in and are helping the mother.
She now has a running car, and a job. Finally. They didnt take the kids from her, and my other friends have been helping since I moved to our new state.
Well one of the other army wives called me to tell me that the the family will be checked on at least every two weeks. She spoke with social services herself.
Now the mom has a job, the little one goes to after school care at a low cost child care facility and mom got her car fixed.
She is also attempting to pay off the back payments on the house and hoping to keep it out of foreclosure.
I couldnt be happier. Its the best news ever.

Thank you for the update! I read your earlier thread closely and was hoping you’d have a positive update. You’re a saint for all the effort you put into this!

I am so glad that people could get involved to help. I work with kids and even though people often hesitate about calling social services, they have many connections to help children and families. They don’t just check up on people they can connect them to resources. I wish more people were like you!

Thanks for the update – I never posted on the original thread, but I was keeping up with it and was so worried about the kid.
